Not a car I have ever considered. The squeezing of massive amounts of power from a relatively small engine and silly servcing schedule put me off. Not to mention the chav element that seems to buy them and scoobys. Good luck. H.

I think your best move was following me to the petrol station.... Lovely machines, as stated above, most common issue is the throttle actuators. H.

As said by others, you can't judge a brand over all by a couple of bad eggs in their history. A lot of issues come out over an extended period of time and trying something new and more efficient, may be at the expense of reliability. I have two BMW's on my drive and both get a fair thrashing when used. The Z4M has had hardly any issues bar a sticking caliper at 58k miles and the parking sensors are playing up, not bad for nearly 4 years and 10k miles. The 330Ci has been thrashed on different track days and the engine is sweet as a nut at 102k miles. Personally for Sheefa, I would never be brave enough to go for the E60 M5 as there are just too many £££ needed if you have a problem. Great car and a wonderful experience but there could be some serious pain at the end of the rainbow. H.

They are solid cars and they don't build them like this anymore. Enjoy...!!

Would it be rude to ask how much this costs now. I brought mine in through J.M. Imports in 2010, car was then £8500 for a VVTi Tip with about 60k miles on. I bet a VVTi six speed is expensive but it is the golden goose. Hope it works out well for you. H.

Sounds like a real PITA. I have zero faith in the DVLA and insurance companies.

Yep, mine was the same on my NA. Would have like to have got it tackled properly but no time.

I had to specify blue or green when I had mine done a few years ago. That was with Autoglass, through my insurance.

If I thought about purchase prices of the cars, maintenance, tyres, brakes, modifications......I think I would be pretty upset. If you chuck on fuel, tax, insurance and depreciation, I would be suicidal..... Better of not knowing and just enjoying. H.

Would have loved to see the Porsche 919 Hybrid up against the Audis that dominated for years. Either way, loved Le Mans this year, GT catagories provided most of the entertainment. We are there next year. H.

No. Backed out after 2017's win after 3 years on the trot. Toyota should have won in 2016 but the car failed on the last lap of about 390.....pisser..!! H.

Also, it was stupidly slippy on frosty mornings and using salt would have damaged the protection layer. Fell twice on a slight incline over the years and lucky not to do myself a serious mischief...!! H.

We had it at our old house. Looked great at first then the surface sealer started to peel off, crack appeared a couple of years later and ultimately looked crap about 5 years down the line. I wouldn't go this route again. I would either go with pebbles / gravel or tarmac with block paving around the edges. H.

Got back at 00.04, after losing an hour on the M6 after witnessing a terrible accident with a motorbike and an Audi Q3. Shame, as it spoiled what had been one of my best weekends for such a long time. As usual, great people, stunning cars and Caen was superb. Thanks to Burna and Branners and great to see you both. Caught up with some old faces and met some new ones. I must apologise to JasonR24 for Mrs H drawing on your windscreen, we may have had quite a bit to drink on Saturday. H.
