  1. Don't cut the tie wraps. That is exactly what "they" want you to do...!! H.

    New Motor

Great machine this. Made my 330 seem very slow by comparison. Massive power and grio but the fuel bill would make me light headed. Thankfully, I only used 3/4 tank all day including travel from Wigan to Oulton Park and about 25 laps of the track....lol. Glad to see you enjoying it Mike. H.
  3. GLWS Christian. If I hadn't got Betty I would have had this in a heartbeat. H.
  4. It is isn't it...!! Don't you mean Harvard? Ok, I have found some children to look after me now but why are people shouting paedo? This meet has now certainly has an air of quality about it Mike. I will soon spoil that..!!
  5. Ok you gimps, looks like we are coming. Just need to check on child care..!! H.
  6. Ridiculous now these films but I will pay to watch the cars in action. H.
  7. I would wrap some PTFE or insulation tape around the thread and then force the nut on. Hopefully it will jam enough to cause enough resistance when you turn it the other way. Once the seat is out, you can find a more robust way of getting the nuts back off and cleaning up the thread. H.
  8. Gutted to hear this earlier. Chet in Weird Science was one of the best characters ever. H.
  9. Rick, I got sorted by bashing the rods but I was scrapping the seat anyway as I was given a replacement by a member on here. There is not enough thread to get two nuts on or it's the first thing I would have tried. I think some kind of thread lock or PTFE tape that will cause some resistance, may be your only option. H.
  10. Rick, That is one hell of a problem if you are going to keep the seats. You need to either put locktite on the threads and then struggle with them afterwards or bash the end of the rod with a punch or screwdriver to get the end of the rod (domed) to flare out and stop the nut coming off. Problem is that the second method pretty much wrecks the seat mechanism. This is not an easy job by any stretch if the nuts come off. If they didn't it would be an absolute doddle. You are either lucky or not. H.
  11. Looks like we'll be attending this. Do you have room for a baldy and his missus..!! H.

    Insurance farce

Commission from the looks of it..!! Insurance is a lottery, book a day off work and have a damn good ring around, always someone who will get you a decent deal if you talk to them. H.
  13. Bump for the NW lot. Just came up in conversation.
  14. Sell it, I did and never looked back. Although looking back would make me regret it so I don't..!! H.
  15. Or you are daft enough to tell them who you are..!! H.
  16. Speed is always a contributory factor. This is a great way of getting someone for more money than they would have done before. £100 fine to 42 in a 30 could now be the best part of a weeks wage, say £500. Brilliant increase potential. If you are pissed, not indicating, doing a burnout on a roundabout (like I saw on Wednesday), nothing changes. You aren't going to get detected so you may as well crack on. I wonder what the fines are for having false plates? It may actually be worth doing now if the fines for speeding are so high. H.
  17. Nice car. Been out in this and it feels solid and very nippy. GLWS. H.
  18. Doesn't matter what the house is worth, people always want a deal or a bargain. If you had put it up for £140K, they'd be offering £125K... I am so glad I live up north. If I was paying silly money for houses I have no idea how we would make ends meet. I suppose you get it back eventually when you trade down. Good luck with the sale. H.
  19. Havards are interested in this. Epic trip last year...!!
