  1. I was in the green BMW 328i with the soft suspension and the (by the end of the day) extremely abused front tyres! I had a "Frogglez Racing" (don't ask - birthday present from a friend!) in the back window too.
  2. I think my car must be fitted with a camera jamming device... I wonder if it works on speed camera's?
  3. Shows the difference between something like that and a Supra though... 1 hour later and after borrowing a screwdriver off me and he's back out there tearing it up again - I wonder what the situation would have been if a Supra wheel had come off!
  4. I agree, the mix was good (and not least because I was driving one of the oddies!) - it made it much more fun watching, and also more fun when out on the track when people were enjoying different wheels - sometimes not always ON the car, of course
  5. Fantastic day, thank you Nevins and Sam - nicely organised, and good to see that my little Beemer didn't embarrass itself too much - I only managed to worry myself when my back shock bolt loosed off (caught it just in time with a quick visit to the pits) and trash the outsides of both fronts (after swapping them halfway through the day) - I think I might need to invest in a stiffer anti-roll bar - or perhaps replace the nut that holds the wheel
  6. Beemer should be getting its braided brake lines added Thursday with new 5.1 fluid - I tried (and failed) to budge the corroded circles (I think they were once nuts) apart to do it myself! Looking forward to it now, roll on the (damn early) alarm Saturday morning!
  7. I've got a box of bits packed as well, gaffa tape, hammers, screwdrivers, cable ties and the like - incase any of you decide on some unplanned body modification! I'll be crawling round the track in the green beemer if you need something. Incidently, Mr Nevins, will there be a pit type area somewhere that we can dump a box of tricks, spare wheel, fuel can, etc? Somewhere safe we can get to, that won't be in everyone's way?
  8. Make it interesting, invite the corvette and mustang owners clubs - at least they would sound good, even if they couldn't go round the corners...
  9. Ah, but they've not been driven by me, I make James May look fast Anyway, too late now, Nevins told me I can join in, so I'll all paid up and ready to go!
  10. No-one has told me if I can come and play yet I'll try my best to keep up!
  11. hehe, maybe you can do mine when I run out of talent too?
  12. Eek, slicks - ok, maybe my beemer will be outclassed and in the way!
  13. Ohhh, a track day... So, would this be open to me in a BMW 328i? Its a stripped out toy that we took around Nurburgring and on a couple of novice track evenings, so both it and myself are still newbie's to the track. Other than being stripped, it's pretty much standard (uprated pads, suspension, bucket seats, and that is about it) but hopefully it wouldn't be too far off the pace to be an annoyance?
  14. Hi! I have a 2nd cat from my JDM TT that is not needed, I'm based near Bracknell. Any good? If so, make me an offer I can't refuse!
  15. Give it a few more months, till winter hits, and it'll be:- there was diesel on the road, next to an old granny who pushed a small child into the oncoming traffic, with a tractor obscuring the exit route and a large dog, on a roundabout right next to a load of gravel... and that's why I need a new wing and rim.... ... closely followed by:- That'll polish right out!
  16. Hi all, So, a friend saw fit to sell his soul and buy a 230 SLK Kompressor. Unfortunately it developed a misfire, non-starting, "going to do what I darn well please" problem, and he attempted to resolve this by replacing the odd broken sensor, getting the ECU re-programmed and fitting a new coil pack or two. After great expense, all should have been well, but now (possibly because the ECU has been travelling all round the country trying to get fixed) the immoboliser seems to have immobolised it! As he is at his wits (and financial) end, is there a way that anyone knows of to cheaply and easily remove the immoboliser from the loop? Have to have someone else do the work, and take reg docs if required, but the car is stuck just outside Thorpe Park, so someone nearby (and ideally mobile) would be perfect! Does anyone know anyone that might help? Ta Flip
  17. Just another sign that this country can't cope with a bit of (what they consider) "extreme" cold - the whole country grinds to a stop and we are still now paying for what other European country's would consider "a light dusting" of snow! I'm waiting for the Fuzz to stop me and have me breathalysed as I pinball around the road trying to find a good bit, my mileage to work has probably doubled!!
  18. Now on evilbay if anyone is interested:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250605534197

    Disabled Ferrari

worse still when they have that huge disabled space to park in, and they STILL manage to park over the lines - perhaps parking is his disability, it certainly looked like it from the picture.
  20. I keep trying to get fit, but its just so much effort, its much nicer to sit on sofa with beer and chocolate watching the mind-rot box. Got a 60 mile round trip to work now too, that would be tough going on a bike, even with one of those cool petrol engines! I really like the look of them!! I'd looked at the electric "kits" before, but how much better would the petrol one be! Could make "starting out" on the bike much less depressing as you could just use the motor when you got tired.
  21. It'll be good to see her back ready for the road, and I'm sure many people on here will prefer seeing her in OEM guise The BOV block off plate was me, yes, I was looking for a correctly sized rubber boot instead, but I never found one!!
  22. I knew I shouldn't have looked! Certainly looks like you have big plans, and I love the look of the black soop. I hope my rsp gets better soon though... but it looks like she's gone to a good home
  23. Yep, keep meaning to bump it! Would you like it? Its very nice!
