  1. She () probably didn't even see your car, or know that she did it, I'm amazed at how totally oblivious to other cars some people are, scary!
  2. Gutted for you mate knowing the work that's gone into it since you bought it, at least you're ok which is the main thing I'd have thought assuming it's only cosmetic damage that you'd be looking a bill of maybe £800 (incl wing mirror and repair and paint of the side of the car) and should be ok insurance wise. Must be the time of year over here, someone reversed their towbar into the middle of my ridox bumper a week or two ago.

    New car pics

Nice car bud The rims look like Advan AVS model 5's.
  4. I'm pretty sure that you've a case for it being defective and you've still got your consumer rights which take precedence over a warranty. This topic might interest you, and the link in it in post 2 (and links from that page) might prepare you better for your calm chat with the manager tomorrow bud. http://whatconsumer.co.uk/forum/consumer-law/7509-hotpoint-oven-broken-just-outside-1yr-warranty.html
  5. I think it says a lot for the players and Rafa that they came out without Gerrard and put in a shift like that under so much pressure. Big big result for us today but a long way to go before the title's decided. I don't see that it's papering over the cracks, every team has their ups and downs, you lose a few in a row and it's a crisis with the manager's head being called for, we're a better side these days than we have been for many years and we're going in the right direction. Will be happy to see the back of the murcins, a big saudi cash injection would be nice! Benyoun had a stormer, defence looked better without Skyrtle tbh, Torres was magic, only complaint was that there was a big weakness at left back that Utd really should have exploited more, but they weren't in the match to be fair with nightmares for Rio and poor shifts from Scholes and Giggs. All that cantona mask wearing and beach ball tactics from the travelling fans was a bit premature...
  6. Could be a facelift bumper, there'd be slots/holes for the bar that goes across and the one that goes down the middle of the 'mouth' of the bumper.
  7. He was, I remember reading about that but it was a lot of money iirc. Mine are facelifts and I've had them in and out of the oven a few times to refurb them etc. I've got a haze effect that's only really visible from certain angles and the light pattern is dulled when they're on. I think it's actually within the plastic rather than surface and could be caused by being heated in the oven (although they were only ever in for five or six minutes at a time at 100deg). I'm going to have a go at the clear lenses from the group buy and if that doesn't work out (I'm not sure about how the additional black edge that this mod leaves around the lense will look) I'm going to buy new facelifts.
  8. I think the 70's are nicer Geo, they're up there as one of my favourite rims, and I'd have picked them over the 55's if they'd been out when you were ordering them bud.

    Deadmau5

Bump for an old topic, the new Deadmau5 album (for want of a better name) came out this week, it's even better than the last one, the first track is outstanding! Can't recommend it highly enough, go buy/download it!
  12. Getting the coilovers for me, such an improvement in handling, that and ditching the budget tyres the car came with for a set of p zero rosso's.
  13. They're from the group buy earlier this year (maybe even last year) bud, I didn't buy them in the gb but a set came up for sale later and I bought them then. I bet there's lots of people have them sitting gathering dust in their garages/sheds who've been put off by the certain pain in the arse of fitting them, might be worth firing up a wanted thread bud?
  14. Hi, I'm looking for a cheap set of j-spec headlights as a donor pair for my clear lense replacement as I don't fancy taking the dremel to my facelifts. Doesn't matter what condition the lenses are in, nor does it matter what condition the rest are in as it's only the 'lip' of the lenses that I'll be using. If you've got a set of knackered headlights, maybe yellowed or melted from being in the oven, give me a shout please
  15. Heckler's is mean and Paul's http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/images/stories/whifbitz_cars/nitron2.jpg
  16. I like that mate, very nice! Glad you didn't go for an orange cam cover. Was the bottom half of the cam cover straight forward to remove? I did the top part of mine last week but ran out of time for the bottom part so it's next on the to do list.
  17. Agree with Ro, they'll look immense mate!
  18. If you're after a second hand one, Hodge had one for sale here mate: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=197942&highlight=radiator failing that, Keron should be able to sort you out?

    Insurance

lol, that's a nightmare mate. Do you do many miles in it Clo, do you have the option of asking for classic insurance (usually age of car, miles done, kept garaged and whether you have access to another car as a daily driver determines this). It used to be the same up here, you were limited to local brokers and companies only and basically they named an extortionate price and you had no option but to bend over and take it. You'd see ad's on tele for insurance companies and at the end it'd say in small print 'excludes NI'. Regulations changed within the past few years though, and mainland insurers are offering insurance for NI drivers now which has meant that everyone has to be competitive now to get the business, meaning costs have come way down.
  20. Nice topic! Last book - Mr Nice by Howard Marks Last album - Massive Attack's Blue Lines Last film - From Dusk til Dawn Last meal - fillet steak, pepper sauce, chunky chips, followed by pavlova and honeycomb ice-cream.

    Insurance

I'd be worried too Clo, you might as well have no insurance if that's the case, as if the worst should ever happen and you need your insurance they'll find any way to wriggle out of paying up. Can you get confirmation from them in writing? I'm with Endsleigh (came up cheapest on confused.com 2 years running, £250 a year's not too bad at all!) but Endsleigh are a UK company, and I imagine that it has to be an Irish company that covers you?
