  1. Time for a little bit of an update on my car. I got some wheels from Gaijin before Christmas, and took them to be blasted and powdercoated in satin black. I got them fitted a few weeks ago now but have only really got round to getting the car cleaned properly this weekend as the weather's been so poor. I'm not sure of the satin finish, they're still a bit shiny and may go mat with them. I also put some hubcentric spacers on the rear to help fill the arches more, I think they sit just right. Need a little arch rolling though as they're scrubbing on big dips in the road. I'm also looking into getting some centre lugs fabricated. I've got a fan shroud and have someone to wrap it in carbon for me but it's going to take a while to sort. I've a long list of 'nexts' to keep me busy over the coming months: Sort out the rear end (cwest lense covers for rear lights, carbon backing plate and square number plate on, replace plate lights with leds, tint the red side markers) Paint the calipers New headunit and sub Sort out the headlights (fit the clear lenses I've got for them, maybe look into getting the inserts done in carbon or carbon dipped) Paint the dash Continue with the engine bay (carbon cooling plate, polished pas tank, carbon battery cover, carbon fan shroud -got one-, strut brace, polished caps etc)

    new pics

Trial front? Don't know about the green respray bud, I always thought with colours like that you risk waking up someday and just be totally put off by it. If it was me and I was Trial kitting my car, it'd be painted in pearl white
  3. Nice write up and some good pics, I'll have to go buy it tomorrow.
  4. I agree, the wheels look a lot better in those pics than they did in your other thread bud The photos are good, but imo if you're going to take shots that 'far away' then you need a much more interesting back drop than a generic building. If you can't find a good spot then maybe consider closer up pics of the car. The see through bonnet one is good, always liked that idea. Some HDR shots of a flip painted car could be interesting too, or night-time shots.
  5. I flippin LOVE these rims Stonkin, I think they'd look magic on a Supra (particularly in 19's). I've read reports that they're not great when it comes to corrosion (possibly on here) but imagine for a man such as yourself they'll be well treated and cared for so that's maybe not such an issue. I've a pic somewhere of a kitted rx7 with them on and they look superb. Gunmetal would be my choice too. Edit - http://www.5zigen.co.jp/products/wheel/image/proracer/ZR+520/sample2.jpg

    A question

For me, it's 'your' press, whenever there's the slightest sniff of an England qualification and an impending big tournament the media hype in the papers and on tv gets a bit sickening. I love my football, but if England were playing Brazil at the same time as NI, the ROI or Wales (not so much Scotland, they're hard to watch! ) were playing just about anyone else and I'd turn over to watch that. It's a real shame too, the premiership is the very best league in the world and Rooney's currently the best player on the planet (that's hard to admit as a Liverpool fan) but the crap from the media that comes along with it sort of ruins it for me.
  7. There are a few very nice one's about Airwolf, check out Scott's/Geo's/Heckler's/Pred's garages, and this topic too (might sway you too Claire!) https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=202724&page=2 I just got my wheels powdercoated and am heading in that direction with mine too -
  8. I've done some asking on the local forums and haven't really had much of a response bud, the replies I got were along the same as mine, quite a few had heard of them but no-one had any dealings with them. I also did a search in case they'd been talked about before and found one reference to them, but it was similar to this thread (just someone asking if anyone had dealt with them) but with no useful replies. Best I can tell you is that they actually exist, in case you were worried that it was a bogus site? Sorry bud, I did try though

    Brakes..... any tips?

lol If it's an n/a and just for normal road use then your local motor factors will have pads, I'm not sure where you are but I've got mine from Colin Adams in N'ards in the past. C Hurst Toyota on the Boucher Road will also be able to get them for you but you need to phone first in case they're not on the shelf. If your calipers have seized, don't bother buying second hand ones as it's a false economy. A refurb kit was £60ish with discount from Steve Manley (do a search for him on the forum) and will have them working good as new again. If you're feeling flush then UK brakes would be the way to go.
  10. Not a big dish, but they're shiny and 19 and in your price range (£900)? http://www.bangorcruise.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=17354
  11. I can ask around for you bud, they're a local place and I've heard of them but haven't had any experience with them. I'll let you know how it goes.
  12. Could be the abflug lights you're thinking of Rob, they've got 'extended' inners but they go with clear lenses.
  13. Stunner Geo, well done mate! Nice teg too Ian, wheel colour is magic.
  14. RZ for me too! Don't suppose you've got the original pic of that first white US one?
  15. D'oh, it's the missus' birthday that weekend, I'm not too sure I could convince her that she'd like to be spending it at a Supra meet.

    ultimate 80s

You can't go far wrong with a bit of AC/DC, Back in Black came out in 1980 and You shook me all night long, and Rock and roll aint noise pollution were both on it, magic magic songs!
  17. Wing mirrors is another option as a location for them Darryl.
  18. To check for bombs under the car bud, we all do it every morning before work, before navigating the mine fields on the road to Belfast.
  19. Is it rude to ask how much Ernie?
  20. LOL @ CW! There isn't any difference to buying on the 'mainland' Dan, I've done it the other way round (being from NI) and if the car has tax and mot they'll both be valid until they're due for renewal. You can choose to re-register with an English plate, or leave the NI plate on it. If you're booking travel, you can fly easyjet into the international airport (which is about 20 minutes out of Belfast) or FlyBe/BMI into the city airport which is a couple of miles from the city centre. A boat from Belfast to Scotland is around £100, and you can pick a 'flexi' option that will allow you to cancel or change the booking if the car's not what you hoped it would be. Try to get as much information about the car as possible before you fork out travelling money, get the seller to fax you copies of the service history etc. and if you're really not sure then afaik you can also ask the AA or RAC to carry out an inspection on your behalf and provide a report. I'm not 100% on that one though as I've never used it. If it's from a dealer, post up the details and maybe one of us from over here will have heard of them and will be able to give an opinion on them, alternatively if it's a private seller then some info about where the car is and a description or pics might turn up someone who knows the car, or maybe the seller is on one of the NI forums and can be investigated that way.
  21. It's possible that it's a loose connection to your battery as said, you'll also need to make sure that the battery is properly secured and clamped in place as it could be movement of the car (turning into your driveway for example) that's causing the battery to move and cut the connection.
  22. Some pics in Heckler's thread bud: https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=190410&highlight=red+led+dash
