  1. Lacquering is an option - afaik there are uv inhibitors in most lacquers
  2. I've used this site in the past, I can't believe how cheap they are - I ordered thirty litres of super unleaded and it was there, next day, left on my doorstep in 2 litre plastic bottles

    Headlight Rings

Still interested too, but would need to include the big facelift ring for me to want to buy bud
  4. Hadn't heard of it and was going to point you in the direction of your membership number to see if that worked, but apparently there is a discount, see this thread for the code http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?236122-15-or-20-off-Zun-Sport-grilles&highlight=zunsport+discount

    New Wheels

They'll fit no probs Al won't need arch work and will sit nice without being too aggressive

    Steering wheel

Yep, fits straight on without a boss you need an airbag harness / adapter, about £10 from Toyota, part number is 09082-00760
  7. Good progress bud I recognise that driveway lol
  8. There's every chance it could be ok if it's a short trip and you take it easy, personally I wouldn't bud, if it blew out and you lost control it'd be a much bigger bill I'd swap it off for the spare if it's just for a couple of short trips, if it's going to take any longer I'd be trying to borrow a wheel and tyre off a mate.
  9. It's a ding and a bit of kerb rash, heartbreaker but just cosmetic damage...not the end of the world and a relatively easy fix for a specialist.
  10. Factory yellow DC2 tegs came with yellow recaro's, they're rare but there's a set for sale for £1k in NI at the mo http://reallymeansounds.com/forum/attachments/image-jpg.88964/ http://reallymeansounds.com/forum/threads/yellow-recaros-wild-cats.181929/
  11. Our neighbours do the same thing every year too
  12. No idea of the wording of the mot rules (they're different for NI anyway), but a possible solution might be to remove the rear seats for the test? If there are no rear seats, it may not be necessary for the front seats to move forward and back?
  13. Magic pic, you need to enter it into next year's calendar entries, I'd vote for it!
  14. Ahh, apologies, I thought it was the one that covered the hole in a jspec rear bumper - it's a very nice surround but it's not what I needed, I'll pass on it bud sorry
  15. Number plate surround please Jake been waiting on you parting with that lol!
  16. Suprageek is doing exactly what you're thinking about James, changing from his nur spec to a whifbitz this week as far as I know bud, might be worth pm'ing him or directing him to this thread to get his thoughts
  17. You do have to see the irony in the situation though, particulary with comments like 'send them to Australia like we used to' (I know that one was tongue in cheek Imi ) It wasn't that long ago that the English were spreading worldwide, taking (by force usually) the land and resources from indigenous populations...
  18. That looks magic bud is the ft1 still under wraps?
  19. Not sure how it works in England, but I'm a civil servant and we get our eyesight test subsidised as we use a VDU. There's a list of approved opticians that we can go to and we have to get a form stamped by the optician so that we can claim the cost back. Have you thought about approaching local businesses in the area (eg a govt building or other large company that might subsidise tests) to offer a discount rate to the employer if they subsidise eye tests, or employees if they aren't subsidised? I don't wear glasses so my experience is limited to going along with Mrs Jim when she's getting hers - pushy staff who hover at your shoulder is very off-putting, so much so that she's asked for her prescription and taken it to a different shop because of it.
  20. By my rough calculations 9.5 et10 will poke out past stock front arches by maybe 20mm, 11j et8 will poke out past stock rear arches by 45mm. I've no idea whether this could be accommodated with a stretched tyre and camber but would be surprised if it could - one of the team beardies (MarcAB or James) would know better. http://www.willtheyfit.com is a good site for checking assuming you know what your current set up is. For info, but take it with a pinch of salt as I measured my offsets myself as my wheels were rebuilt to change their offsets, in this pic I have an 8j et27 on the front, and a 9.5j et32 on the rear. The rear is pretty much flush, the front isn't quite flush, but it's approximately the set up/look that I want. I'm on the hunt for new wheels too so I use these measurements as the current set up on willtheyfit to give me an idea of what's feasible and what's not. I have rolled my rear arches and folded the tabs back on the fronts.
