  1. Thanks for the heads up rider. They only have one left in stock though. Found this though, looks like the same stuff https://parts4sale.co.uk/oil-9730ac/
  2. Hi all. I’m looking for a NA engine for my best friend. He’s building a project car (not a supra) so ideally wants a complete engine with wiring harness if possible. We are based near Bristol so something in the southwest would be ideal, but happy to travel for the right engine. Many thanks, John
  3. Thanks for the reply swampy. I finally managed to get it going last night, just kept flicking the key back and forth. I know it’s not a fix, but at least I can rule out a few possibilities. I’m thinking it’s the contacts, so I’ve ordered some new ones. Hopefully it’ll have one more start in it so I can get it into work and onto a ramp
  4. Hi all, I’ve got a starting issue with my uk 6 speed, I’ve looked at loads of posts regarding similar issues but they all seem to point towards intermittent issues prior to starter motor failure which I haven’t experienced. I went out in it last night with no issues. Decided to use the car this morning, got it out of the garage in the morning and it started fine. Went to start it again after locking garage, nothing, just one click with no attempts to crank. I don’t think it’s the immobiliser as it clicks when disarmed, and there’s no click when it’s armed. Battery is fully charged, even tried starting with a booster pack, still nothing. Battery terminals are tight, no signs of corrosion, battery is relatively new, always trickle charged, and never left to go flat. I’ve swapped out the starter relay from my other car aswell so it’s not that either. Never had any signs of it not starting before, it has always started first time every time. Always kept in a dehumidifing chamber, and never used in the wet. The problem I’ve got is my garage is at the bottom of an uphill slope and I’m on my own so I can’t push it or anything. If I could get it going I could get it to work and get it on the ramp and potentially change the contacts on the starter, but I’m thinking it’s not that because I’ve not had any starting issues before. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  5. Hi all. Id like to fit a PHR air compressor pulley cover to my car. How do you get the centre bolt out to start with? Can it be done on the car, is it a pain or am I just stupid? Many thanks, John
  6. Thank you, that’s a great idea. I’ve signed up to supra forums and put a post up so hopefully one of our American friends will be able to shed some light on the matter.
  7. Hi all. Has anyone had any dealings with MVP lately? I pre ordered (and paid for) a set of HKS mats with Dusty in September and a few other bits when they came in at the start of the year. He’s been fantastic and has always kept me updated and responded quickly, but I havent heard from him since February. I was just wondering if anyone has had any contact with him / them and maybe had some information about the lack of communication? Many thanks, John

  9. Hi all. I have a set of Trd anti roll bars on my car and a set of aftermarket drop links. The threads on the drop links arent long enough so when the nylok nutted is fitted, the thread doesnt come through the nylon part. Has anyone else got trd anti roll bars and come across something similar? I’m just wondering if its the roll bars that are thicker where they mount or if its the drop link itself, in which case, would a set of oem drop links solve this problem?
  10. Good shout on the K&N, I never considered them. Thanks for the info rider, I already use an oem one which is changed yearly, I just wondered if there were any performance gains etc to be had by switching to something like a K&N, blitz, HKS etc, or whether their claims for better airflow etc are just nonsense
  11. Hi all. Is anyone using anything other than oem air filters in their oem air box? My supra is due a service soon and Ive always used the genuine toyota ones. I was just wondering if anyone has used anything else which is better? I remember TRD doing one but it looks like they have been discontinued now. HKS do one but after doing some research people seem to think HKS air filters arent very good.
  12. The weather looks better than it did earlier which is a bonus. I’m hoping to get there for around 7:15 but that depends on my daughter. I’ve never had to wake her at 5:30!
  13. How many people are still going to this tomorrow? The weather looks awful
  14. Ive used town and country universal covers. Think they come in black and grey, nothing exciting, but Ive had mine for over 10 years now and they are still going strong. Were a bit tight fitting supra seats but after a few weeks they stretched a bit.
  15. Broomie, I suggest you stop talking nonsense and crack on with your own design. The 20th anniversary sticker will be staying on my car, so having a 30th anniversary sticker to go next to it that contains many elements of the original and is visually recognisable to its predecessor works for me. Isn’t that what Ellis has done? Ellis does lots for this club and should be shown more respect.
  16. Yes, workwear express are good and have some great deals on. I also used Salix recently who do the club merchandise and was very impressed with the quality
  17. wow Ellis, they looking amazing, great work
  18. Just wondering if anyone was doing a 30th anniversary sticker this year? Ive got one of these in each rear 1/4 glass, which Ive justed noticed could do with updating. I’m sure someone on the club did these?
  19. I’m interested in this. I did email Claudia, and she asked if I could register the club. Ive been unable to reach the Southern events organiser (Lui) and have since messaged Mawby asking how to proceed. I’m happy to try and organise this, but didnt want to tread on anyones toes by registering the club etc.
  20. Just to confirm, a JDM bonnet insulator will fit a uk spec. All the holes line up, there isn’t a mark for cutting the scoop hole, I had to use my old insulator as a template, it cuts ok with a new stanley blade. I was shocked at how thin the new one was against my old one. I guess they get moisture in them and start to seperate? The yellow line is the offcut of the new one. Its only 2mm thick around the edges (there is thick padding in the middle)
  21. Ive measured the roll bars which I removed from my uk spec, the front is 30mm and the rear is 23mm
  22. Yeah I’m up for this, its just down the road for me
  23. Hi Mark, hows things? Paul at TCB can do them for £145+vat which I thought was pretty decent.
  24. Hi all, I need to replace the bonnet insulator on my uk spec bonnet as mine is looking tired but they have been discontinued by toyota. I can get a Jap spec one but would obviously need to cut the middle out for the bonnet scoop. Does anyone know if a jap spec bonnet insulator would fit a uk spec bonnet (apart from doing the scoop cut out)? Many thanks, John
  25. Hi all, After sending the supra away for some TLC, I have discovered a few nice items that I have collected over the years and never got round to fitting (or I have removed them from my own car) Some of these items are rare and are difficult to price. I am open to offers on all parts, if you require any further pictures or info please let me know. I haven’t included postage costs, but I can obtain these should anyone require. I will not post the wind deflectors due to them being so fragile. I live near Bristol if anyone wants to collect. I work shifts so depending on what I’m working, some things may get posted quicker than others (and I may need to source packaging) I will do my best to get anything posted within a week of selling. polished fan shroud, well made and quite thick, has some imperfections which Ive tried to show in the second photo. £200 ono Polished stainless steel kick strips with etched supra logo £150 ono Fuel tank guard. Pretty rusty, no holes though so I think its salvageable. Painted 020 white and waxoiled inside £50ono Megan racing adjustable rear toe links. Only bought as I couldn’t get oem ones. Probably covered about 5000 miles. Boots and ball joints are good, Threads look fine aswell. £70 ono rear trailing arms. Painted in 2k gloss black although could do with repainting. Bushes look ok, removed at around 90k for new oem. £70ono Twin turbo vac pipes removed from my 1994 uk spec (removed as I fitted a painted set) £40ono Pair of engine mounts removed from my 1994 uk spec as I had TRD mounts fitted. Car had approximately 110k when removed. £80ono Brand new TRD gearbox mount for v160. £100ono Front and rear anti roll bars painted in 2k paint although could do with repainting as there is a bit of surface rust. Recently fitted with new D bushes. Removed from 1994 uk spec at about 90k as I had TRD ones fitted. £350 ono OEM wind deflectors, some surface scratches, no cracks etc, and has all tabs/mounts etc. Would need fresh double sided tape for fitment. £150ono ARC polished airbox. Beautifully made, comes with new filter. Never fitted this as I needed to modify the pipework on my uk spec and never got round to it. £500ono Do Luck rear defuser?, purchased second hand. Has no mount brackets and needs a bit of work. Its quite heavy and has a few cracks in it. Another thing I never got round to fitting £100 ono Carbon fibre ducting. Has a few marks on it. Never got round to fitting, I dont think it was compatible with my koyo radiator.
