  1. I've always put it in L and then plant my foot in the carpet... push through the gears until ur in Drive and it's much quicker than doing the whole thing in Drive..... don't take ur foot off the pedal and the car will change gear at redline...
  2. I thought the aero roof wasn't designed to be repaired... ie you have to replace the whole thing if the seals go? Mine leaks like a sieve when it's really bad so I'd def be in if it's easy to do? That's if I can ever get it off *captainchaos* is it possible to replace these mechanisms at the front then? mines knackered...
  3. Just tried starting the car with the intelistart while sat inside and none of the normal ignition lights come on??? they used to...?
  4. Yay Just got two bikes in the back of the supra with me and the missus in the front both wheels off on both bikes and a lot of trial and error later but it is possible Rob
  5. I've just tried something to see if it's the bonnet not hitting the catch... Opened the bonnet. Held the switch down. Locked the car. Tried the remote start. Still didn't work... Doh... That means that the bonnnet is hitting the catch ok... could still be seeing an earth though so I'll have to try disconnecting it?
  6. Thanks for the reply Matt I just tried it and the indicators flash twice, the lights stay on for about 2 seconds and then go off again without trying to crank... I do have issues with my bonnet closing properly... perhaps that could be the problem? Is it easy to disconnect the bonnet sensor?
  7. Yeah, mines the same has to have total closure, boot, bonnet and doors... The handbrake has to be on too and it was... Makes me think it's a technical problem with the intelistart unit?

  9. -------------- UPDATE ----------- just replaced the modified wiring with the original and the intelistart still doesn't work! That's eliminated one possible cause. I think I need to speak to Clifford and see if they can suggest anything? Has anyone else had problems with remote start?
  10. I played the demo on the ps3 and it seemed a little unresponsive to me... looks stunning though...

Ah, should look good I've got the Bomex front on mine and I love it... I went with the Trial rear though rather than the spats...

Doesn't sound too bad... I wanted to go for the smoothed over road so the kits weren't an option for me I'll be interested to see how it looks...

I'm getting mine smoothed over and painted with a high gloss finnish. should contrast nicely with all the brushed ali I tried painting it my self and it looked pap so I'm getting a local spray shop to do a propper job The problem with the stick on sheets is that they look exactly like you've stuck them on (kind of obvious i guess) because you can see all the edges, especially around the ignistion and cig lighter etc... They do give a good finnish I guess. How much are you looking to pay? My respray is costing about £120...

There are quite a few traders on here who do brushed aluminium dash parts... Thor do a goood set for the heater control dials and warning lights... the dash rings always look good, you can get those from whifbitz. There's a kit for the heater light bezels and you can get shiny heater control knobs too I think it looks a bit more subtle than those stick on dash kits I've almost got mine done now just gonna get the dash painted a high gloss black to get rid of all those scratches and scuffs... Lots to choose from anyway... p.s. welcome to the club /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif
  16. Mine's always sat outside on the path as I pull up bless him I have to drive past the flat before I get to my turning and my gf says he goes running downstairs when he hears the Sup
  17. Hiya These are the ones I went for... they are very good but if you really want that xenon effect HIDs are the only way forward... You get a discount via the forum for these bulbs though http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=59734&highlight=power+bulbs Rob
  18. Hi Todd I'll take the following if they're still available please Big Fish Butterfly Effect JFK Vanilla Sky 'ive got most of the others ' How do I pay?
  19. I wish they'd arrested some of the players instead
  20. I think it's something to do with the way the Clifford checks to see if the car is in gear? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=131173
  21. Matt; No, not LED's just standard J-Spec Lights re-wired to give the afterburner effect when braking and using one of the reversing lights as the fog... i really want to ditch that for the version that uses the inner brake lights as the fog but given the dodgy wiring i've not dared to touch it yet LouisJames; Is that the rewire kit to make the inner brake lights into the fogs?
  22. Anyone tried running this setup with an alarm that uses remote start?
  23. Na, I've never needed to prime it. Just hit the button and it starts. The alarm just chirps twice on lock and once on unlock. that's what I was thinking... Maybe it thinks i've got my foot on the brake because the lights have been rewired, alternatively it could be because I'm using one of the reversing lights as a fog light??? still can't see why it would have a charge through it though...
  24. You mean hitting the remote start button while the engine is running with the keys in the ignition? I've not tried that. I'll give it a go.
  25. I used to use the turtlewax tub stuff on mine but it dried solid and was really hard to get off so I switched to Maguires, really easy to clear off afterwords and leaves virtually no chalky white residue when dry. The process and cloths really are the key to getting it looking good. Tesco do some really good microfiber cloths at a tenth of the price of the prof ones, they're great for applying polish etc. Wash the car with Maguires gold class shampoo - starting at the top and working down to the wheels and arches. Get a clean bucket of water with no shampoo and go over the car top to bottom again with a AutoGlym synthetic chamois - taking all the water off the car - just keep ringing the chamois and rinsing it in the clean water. Apply the polish (I use Maguires crystal) using a microfiber cloth, circular motion seems to give the best finish. rub the polish into the paintwork until it's been absorbed apply your wax (I use Maguires Gold Class) again small circular motions seem to give the best results. Once the whole car's been done take the wax off with another microfiber cloth. Give it a good rub down with a clean microfiber cloth to shine it up nicely I then use a rabbits fur mit to put a really nice shine on for shows etc.
