Cheers all. Yeah it sure is mate. Its something along the lines of taking the photos and putting them into a package for training etc. Just got home from work again and have now done everything I can and it was confirmed that my rank is not an issue for me to apply. I have now left it with an officer who I think I can trust to try and sort it out for me asap. Now its just sitting and waiting now to see if i hear anything.

Well, I put in for a job that was advertised at work to do a 7month secondment short notice from next month until December at the fire service training college Morton in Mash. I found out about it on 15/5/07 when I went back in work after having 26 days off. The closing date for the app is today 18/5/07 and I did everything poss to get all my stuff sorted and inform my line managers etc about it. They then said fine you can apply. Last night when I was back in work, I was passed an email that had been sent to my watch officer which said that because some one in the management team felt that they wanted a higher rank than me to apply for the job that I could not apply! ( its not mentioned anywhere that what rank is needed ) This annoyed me big time, so this morn I have been a man on a mission trying my best to get hold of anyone and everyone that could poss no anything about it to prove them wrong. But now it seems I have come to a dead end, so I'm off back into work now to do some more ringing around etc and hope I can get in to contact with some one. Really had to get it off my chest. In fact I can see myself not having a job after today if I do find out I could have applied and because of some fool I dont even get the opp to go for it or its to late after all the running about. Anway wish me luck:rolleyes:

Its all a big media thing again! If they had not gone to such lengths and made such big news of his training and him going it would not have been a problem. Everyone else has to live with that fact that they get sent over there and if this sniper thats out there sees any of them they are just as likley to be kill as he would be if he went. I had the same sort of thing with my grand dad whos diabetic not long ago mate. Got a phone call and ended up having to break in and get an ambulance out etc. Oh and I ripped the front skirt off the supra on the way to. Hes all well and good now after a bad few months with it all. Hope he manages to get sorted with it all soon mate, I'm sure your Luck will change for the good soon enough.

I read a mag afew weeks back that tested afew and Kerpaski ( sp? ) came out the best but think its about £25 or so. I have never used it though so may be best to go with tryed and tested!
