  1. Can I ask why your timing belt is so easily visible? Guide to changing timing belt here. The timing belt on the supra is very robust and rarely fails, in fact the only failure I can see through using the search on here relates to something getting inside the cam belt cover(a screw in that particular case). Is there a chance something could have got into your cam belt?
  2. Firstly I take it you are talking about the auxiliary belt and not the timing belt? Assuming this, it's probably worth checking the crank pulley as well, it will probably be the cause of the frayed aux belt due to being out of alignment. If this is the case then it is time to change the crank pulley.
  3. Definitely time for a bump on this. Several threads around with absolutely nothing in the title to allude to what's inside. Are people trying to get more views on their thread or just trying to make it impossible to search for it in the future. Example for people who don't grasp why the thread title should be relevant to the content: Recently we have had three threads regarding a pink supra on eBay, however if you search thread titles for the same query, you will get zero results.

    End of an era

How about this:http://www2.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201303055623373/sort/default/usedcars/price-to/22500/maximum-age/up_to_4_years_old/model/s5/make/audi/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/radius/1500/postcode/page/1?logcode=p Or were you looking for something a bit more sporty/RWD?
  5. Ah that old beater. Preferred your carbon splitter tbh. But I imagine that to keep replacing them at the rate you go through them would make anyone's wallet cry. In 5 years time they will have went the way of the veilside bumper. Possibly. OEM yoo00
  6. Try reading note 3 in Scott M's guide above. If you have the latest copy of MS office it has a handy "Picture Manager" programming which allows you to easily resize a picture to a given size or resolution.
  7. Active spoiler with full functionality. I know what you mean about the car looking lower at the front when only an aftermarket lip is fitted, seems the only way to get round it is to lower your car to the ground but that in turn compromises everything else.
  8. Firstly, I can't believe nobody has commented on the thread title. 1. OEM active spoiler that is active. This is what should be aspired to. 2. Any other lip spoiler that is available, especially Bomex BMX-UAD134. 3. The "RMM" spoiler, I've yet to see a car that wouldn't look better without it. And all the black ones on colored cars just look like an afterthought. I don't particularly think it suits the lines of the supra either, I realise plenty of people on hear have them and will argue that it was the best option due to them being plastic instead of fiberglass Don't get me started on the stupid "ears". *All IMO of-course.
  9. This whole series has been pretty good, I much prefer it to top gear these days. It's great seeing the cars being properly driven each week.
  10. "SW20" refers to an MR2(and in this case I would suggest turbo), so might be worth finding a copy of MR2 instructions to see which wire is which.
  11. Possibly another cheap NA manual with LSD(like the last two), or any other jap import with RWD, LSD & 200+HP. Got to be jap as we've got loads of 5x114.3 wheels ready to go. Then it'll be for sale in about 8 months time, no sentiment with cars any more. They were all built to be driven.
  12. Probably as it's driven so often. Skirts resprayed in March, then it'll be out for a while(about a month) then probably sold as it will be back into drift season.
  13. This, 100%. Quick survey of Pistonheads as of today: 77 Supras for sale, 72 of them under the "magical" 100k miles. That is totally ridiculous and shows the extent of this "recalibration" work. IMO it's rife using the old "converted to miles" excuse. Edit to add: 16 out of the 19 on Autotrader are also under the magical mileage!
  14. Fantastic work on the supra, can't be that many people left who would spend that much money on a UK auto just to get it back to almost showroom condition(externally). I doff my hat to the them, they are a true enthusiast to look after an ageing car like that. Also worth noting he changed to an aftermarket SMIC and kept the active spoiler.
  15. You need exhaust gaskets, these sometime come with the decats. Something like this would do the trick. Worth putting some fire gum on it as well.
  16. You don't say. Two out of three already linked.
  17. RZ is the top of the range, will definitely have larger 4 pot brakes & recaro seats(possibly carbon steering wheel as well). SZ-R won't have these unless they were spec'd to the car when new or added at a later date. Quick search of one of Japans car sites revels several of these later cars: Two RZ-S's: http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU1661283377/index.html?TRCD=200002 http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU1673155659/index.html?TRCD=200002 Two RZ's: http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU1658876597/index.html?TRCD=200002 http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU1610828545/index.html?TRCD=200002 If you are willing to pay the money there are plenty of these examples available. But as for lining someones else's pockets with £15K+(profit) I'd be looking else-ware.
  18. Yup thought I recognized it, IIRC it was up for the equivalent of less than £10k with the exchange rate. Which is about right IMO, especially for a RZ-S rather than an RZ. I'd also take the mileage with a pinch of salt as I would with 75% of the ones for sale.

    Spark plugs

As already said, I'd put money on it being the coil pack clips, there will be a loose connection somewhere. Did you change them or did a garage do it?
  20. Yup seen Marcin drift a few times, that picture is from one of the Crail drift days I think. He is part of team ScotDrift, who run his single turbo Supra, a Nissan 200sx S15 with V10 Viper engine and a V8(possibly turbo'd) Soarer. Excellent to see them running in a train together, S15 sounds brutal .
