So basically all the Irish miles over the last 10 years have just disappeared. 46k miles Anyone buying a Supra these days would be better going in with the mind set that it's been clocked and just ignore the under 100k mileage that it will be displaying. They are so easily wound back to whatever mileage you want it to display for £20. It's an epidemic with Japanese cars and especially the Supra now that it's going up in value all of them will be sold with optimum mileage showing. If you were buying normal car and the bumper wasn't fitted properly and had that wear on the steering wheel and auto shifter you would be asking questions. I'd guess one look at the engine bay would tell you all you need to know about the mileage of this car.

Remember this in its red livery, probably from one of the original Gran Tourismo games. Think it was about the fastest car in the game if I remember right.

st3ven1 replied to Jakemanlives's topic in Supra Classifieds
Have you sorted out any of the issues from when it was last for sale? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?323486-Heads-up-VVTI-TT6-currently-for-sale -
Looks like a serious weapon. Think I seen it at HQ in Dalgety Bay last week, full parachute set up as well. Got any more details on it?

One of my favorite ever shows, Still Game is coming back. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/tv/still-game-laugh-jack-victor-7951129#ibpubaGfrbVHj2w4.97

Exactly this, standard on an RZ but an option on an RZ-S.

Full list of cars scrapped here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/car-scrappage-scheme-in-2009 Supras and skylines including a GT-R all scrapped. Sure this has been mentioned on here before though and there was a thread running. Lots of stuff that's now worth good money.

Lovely car, had a pre-facelift roadster myself. Considered getting another one, but was disappointed to learn that azure blue isn't available on the later HR 313 engined cars. It was replaced by a much darker blue in the final facelift.

I think you are being blinded by the fact it's a TT6. The body kit and exhaust can all be changed easily leaving you with an OEM TT6. My issue is with the "100k" miles, anybody looking at that engine bay without rose tinted glasses would say the car has done at least double the stated miles which would make the price expensive for a car with those 'modifications'. All the wear points in the car have been changed, pedals, gear knob and drivers seat.

Really cool video, the production and editing are excellent. One of the best drift videos I've seen in a long time. Nice sounding supra as well. Well worth a watch even if you aren't into drifting. Loved the rotating camera on top of the car. Thanks for the link.

All facelift RZ Supras should have an active spoiler, larger brakes, as well as the recaro seats. In the same way that pre-facelift GZ supras all had the active spoiler. So I'd say in this case the active spoiler either been removed or the car is an RZ-S that has had a carbon wheel and recaros fitted.

Yeah it's been removed, but you can see it here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://www.gumtree.com/p/toyota/1995-m-toyota-supra-twin-turbo-2jz-gte-1-uk-owner-since-2001/1154462861 Worth noting the reg: M703XHC and the mileage 234000km as it'll likely turn up again.

Looks like a fairly honest, straight car. All the panel gaps look fine, wheels have been refurbished and it could actually be showing its true mileage. Interior looks as it should for the mileage and should be used as a reference when others are claiming the usual sub 100k miles.

Really nice car, looks great in MCB. Bit more individual than the normal black that seems to be very popular. In fact the MCB doesn't look far off the Estoril Blue II colour. Maybe slightly darker/richer than the EBII.

Yeah looking forward to this after seeing the comic-con trailer last year. Right up my street. Please don't let them ruin it by making it a 12A. PLEASE!!

The owner of the car gave them a few days to put things right, he even refused to put the video up until they had been in touch. Couple of days later the video emerged but only after the owner of the garage had challenged the existence of the video and had made several negative comments regarding the customer. The owner of the car said his dash cam had been completely reset to factory settings when he checked it later but obviously the footage was still on the memory card. I got the feeling the garage owner thought there wasn't any footage and they car owner was trying it on. Unfortunately this and his subsequent lack of proper apology or offer to make things right means he felt the full force of a social media tidal wave. scoobyclinic.net

Steering wheel and gear knob both changed, seat bolster reportedly well worn. Then there's the usual issue of the "75k" mileage. Paperwork suggests it has done 12k miles in the last 10 years and the paperwork in the picture actually documents that it was clocked before that, you couldn't make it up. Edit to add: Last MOT Feb 2015, it was recorded as having 143504km which is just over 89k mikes.

It was 65000 jobs lost in the Oil and Gas sector by September last year so will easily be 70000+ now. Not a good time to be working in the industry. All change from three years ago when there was only 0.4 applicants for each job available, now I know it's in the hundreds for each of the very few jobs available.

You'd need to ask someone in the US, they have seen a dramatic fall in the price of 'gas'. Unfortunately our price has a fixed tax attached to it and not a floating scale percentage, so we will never see anything near the reduction in price we should.

You sure about that? Can't find a single thing about it online and a couple of sources still say he's alive.

1k on a SMIC! Try £350: http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota/supra/intercoolers/garage-whifbitz-1637.html I'd go this route and keep the car as OEM as possible. The active spoiler is one of the coolest features of the car. Wouldn't bother with TTC mode, again keep it working as an OEM car. The kick at 4000rpm when BPU is a big enough.

Rotors = brake discs Muffler = exhaust Sway bar = anti-roll bar Trunk = Notoriously hard to open boot on a supra.

As has been mentioned go for a facelift blobeye, it was facelifted late 2004(54 plates) through to early 2006(06 plates). A WRX with the PPP is the car to get. The facelift had several changes to the mechanicals aswell as interior changes(center console is the obvious tell). Watch for the rear suspension knocking, but most of these will probably been addressed by now. Any rust on the rear arches and I'd walk away. Other than that just the usual checks you would do on any car, fluids etc. Avoid the 2.5 hawkeye WRX, as although the engine issues are less likely on the wrx, it's not something you'd want to be potentially worrying about. Superb cars all round and very reliable when left at PPP level(265bhp).
