  1. Has anyone got a superchip or alike fitted? Or can anyone explain what they do? A local J spec car dealer fits these or something simular from Japan (looks like a fuel cut type box wired into ECU) and claims 400bhp + with no other work so is it just B@llshit? It all sound too easy to me. Thanks in advance. Darren
  2. It was my VVTI Justin was trying to fit an FCD to. TRL FCD works a treat after Petes trip to Leon's and new doco was issued. Darren
  3. Mine had the silver 16 inch wheels on it when I got it with the updated centre caps. Sold wheels and centres to a guy down the gym for £240! Darren
  4. Torque IC was advertising a silver standard spoiler...a oner i think. Giv em a all.
  5. At £1.20 why not give them a try...cheap as chips...I expect someone like NGK make the HKS etc plugs anyway......... Darren

  12. Mine has small brakes. Think its pick and mix some facelifts have big brakes some small. Most small I get the feeling.

  15. I have had this problem on my landcruiser three times! once it was the starter gone, another time batteries and finally loose connection on the batteries so think I agree with everyone else!
  16. Mine kicks down but I have not noticed it red lining. But I normally change down on the steering wheel, maybe thats why I'm not experiencing the problem.
  17. Took my second cat out the other week, still have the first in. Def worth it. But if you took both out you probably wouldn't really need the boost controller cos you would be pretty close to 1.2 anyway. Atleast with the controller you can turn it up and down. Darren
  18. Very loud! Though the worse feeling is it might be losing you power!! As Matt said I may move mine or theres a small outlet on it that I was going to attatch a rubber pipe to see if it cuts down the noise.
  19. Mine does the same had me quite worried!I thought the dump valve was leaking due to the higher boost! But Justin and Kevin at Torqueic identified the solenoid as the 'culprit'. So I can stop worrying now.
  20. Its a feature! If you are in top in 'M' mode it will still drive like normal auto. Which is nice and relaxing. If you come up behind a car and want to fly past you drop it a gear into say 3rd and hammer past. It will then not change up past 3rd till you make it but if you had to stop it will not make you pull away in third which would not be very impressive it will act as an auto again all the way back to 3rd but not above unless you do it via the steering wheel. It will also not let you change from 4th to 2nd at 130 leptons cos its got a brain! Hope this helps and makes some sense.
  21. Cheers for the help, from what you guys are saying I think all is well as the car is standard. I probably need to get a sports exhaust on it for more performance!
  22. When the first turbo on my J spec TT spools up you feel it coming in but the second one is not really noticible. Do you guys get a second real kick @4k ish? My car only has 32k on the clock and now Im starting to wonder if the second turbo is knackered. My car is a standard 98 vvti. Any useful suggestions?
