  1. "Hey, nice rack, would you like to have dinner with me? I'm a nice guy, really." The message that's received is, "Hey you, I'm an @$$hole who will treat you poorly and couldn't be @rsed with your opinion. I only want to look at you." This was my impression, IMO when I first went on the forum. Thats why I never posted on the Newbie thread once I got my soop and will not post a pic of myself for you deprived lot to bandy around and offer your 'opinion' on but by the same token, I know its banter, high spirits and not meant to be offensive...but it is! I agree with Charlotte, for we females who are serious about our cars (I'm training to be a mechanic btw ) it really does us no favours.

    fuel figures

hi Wannabe I have an NA, pretty standard apart from TRD decat and suspension changes. Was told by previous owners to expect around 280 miles from a full tank. Going to and from college - 85mile round trip, A roads and bit of motorway + traffic crawling can do the 85 miles on a quarter of a tank, but thats a steady 85ish on the clear straight bits. Heavy traffic sucks up the juice, as does taking it for a thrash. ....unless your out with a couple of turbo owners then just DONT look down at your fuel guage! tbh, you'll be loving it so much, fuel won't be an issue - the fun factor is imeasurable! NA's are cheap to buy now, another £5k ish would give you a single turbo conversion if you wanted to go down that route, as most of us are dreaming of Get a local NA owner to take you out tho' you'l luv it
  10. Thanks col, I'll have a good luck tonight
  11. Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base? GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it? GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children? GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers. GENERAL REINWALD: Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?
  12. I think thats correct too. Can understand your anger, had someone go into my car at an island, insurers just wanted to settle 50/50, i was furious, took him to court and proved him to be in the wrong. Try and get photos of all nearby signs and markings from all junctions around too. As for the family calling you: just refer them to your insurers, try not to bite though its tempting cus the devious bas@@rds may twist your words to their own ends. Feel for you mate. Good luck and hope you get the supra mended without too much agro.x
