Want to get as many in as possible, bearing in mind you have cars away being worked on (Ian and MagicT) until the end of April, hence putting the first Sunday in May down as an option. 14. Hi Goldigga If your worried about the immediate state of the belt you can do some easy visual/physical checks: check for wear on the teeth, edge of the belt and any cracking at the root of the teeth, check there's no deterioration of the belt from oil etc which can cause swelling and deterioration of the rubber, and no debris (you will get some build up of muck anyway) Look for crazing on the surface of the belt - caused by friction, also for splits or tears. Belts are usually quiet under normal running conditions - if its whining its tightened up too much, if theres slapping it indicates it could be loose. to check the tension is easy - take the belt between thumb and finger and you should just be able to twist it 45 degrees, no more or less. If the belt is damaged or loose the timing will be out which could result in the pistons and valves making contact which is not good and would mean expensive replacements. It wouldn't hurt to get the belt checked out by a professional if your not sure, then take it from there. Hope all is good, L
  15. With pleasure hun Guys, when is good? Are you all ok with a sunday and if so afternoon or evening? Dates already in the diary for supraness are Donny Sat/Sun 7/8th April, RAF Marham on Saturday 14th, Supra Day at the Pod Saturday 21st but either of those two sundays may be good? turbofit day Sunday 29th btw. Then into may..... Let me know what you think and I'll post a thread. For those of you travelling on motorway (M6/M54) Moseley Park may be best. They do all day food as well Linda
  16. whens your supe going to be back with you m8?
  17. Greg's luuurvly and besides, as he'll be disappearing to make his fortune (ok, the RAF;) ) soon so we could humour him this time where good for you then G? speedbump/ramp/pot hole free preferably! lol
  18. I went to see the super bikes last year, was awesome, saw few tents dotted about. lolx
  19. Daman My form went out Monday so they may still be processing it, bearing in mind how slow the mail is!! I'll chase them up next week monday just to be sure. As for tarmac, there's plenty of grassy bits around there either that or sleep in the supra's.... btw, are there any showers there? bit of a girly question but... thx
  20. Pete, I've not met many local owners yet (but working on it!) where are you in shropshire? cheers x
  21. You can get a set (as in 4!) of springs that will lower your supra a little more without getting adjustable dampers as well, if your on a budget. But a good set of coilovers with adjustable gas dampers would allow you to adjust the ride height more precisely. They're not cheap but would be a good investment. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and short cuts will not do the car or you any good in the long term. Hope you get it sorted though, safely!
