  1. I don't need patronising and/or expect concessions because I'm a 'lady', I just need good insurance on an import performance car. If you've been aiming at the female equivalent of chavs with their souped up saxo's and novas up until now, then I'm not surprised you've had so many claims. Bearing in mind that the largest number of accidents are caused by young males under the age of 25, not women of an equivalent age, I find your comments curious to say the least. So how do you quantify 'good' driving? Do you need a reference in order to insure a woman driver??? a written/practical test maybe?? The attitude and driving of a woman in a Supra/skyline/MR2 turbo etc I am sure is very different to Sheila in her Saxo VTR, innit? I am sure these other girls will agree with me: http://www.japgirls.co.uk/index.php Its a growing market which you probably wont of touched on if you've only just started to look at imports. Somehow I think I'll be stopping with our club insurers when it comes time to renew. Linda
  2. You didnt look old enough to drink m8 Good to meet you though ...even if you should have been on lemonade Lx
  3. Tony Interesting thread. One query, why don't you insure women with performance cars? I am a proud owner of a Jspec NA supra and would be interested to hear your reasons excuse Linda
  4. Or does that depend on desperatioin levels Ed?? lolxx good to see you at JAE btw L Welcome fellah, got me the same way when I saw a work colleagues, still drooling almost 2 years later. Don't know what your budget is as you didnt say, but £4K would get you a good condition N/A, a bit more for a 5 speed manual depending on miles. Have a look at the Technical section where you will find basic supra guides, and play with the 'Search' button on the menu bar Happy hunting Lindax
  5. Hi all as per title, the TT LSD needs 1.5 litres, would the N/A open diff need more or less? and a differenct one as the LSD oil would have additives specific to it. Also recommendations please? I could ask Opie but thought I'd ask you lot first This should be on tech but need a quick answer as I need to order it today ready for service. ta chaps Linda x
  6. Nice choice though you'll be on your knees with a tooth brush each time you wash your supra Lxx
  7. I didnt drink til JAE, some people corrupted me with cider, now there's no going back I probably couldnt see wine through the bulmers blurr thanks for the bottle btw as I need to get into practice for JAE 2008 ....and I've been called worse Lxx
  8. Mint!! tbh m8, its just a matter of time but the law is so woolly its anyone's guess. Besides, I brick it each time I see a copper but I think it was more to do with the italics for you rather than the size as your supra is white, as is the plate so it blends in - if that makes sense?? bummer all the same Lx
  9. hi hun He could get a really nice low milage facelift NA for that and still have change to uprgade the suspension/wheels etc or some nice body kit Poor chap had to put up with me brainwashing him with all things supra think it worked though I'm not putting my plate on as it'll be the cue to get stopped for the first time, it'll just have to have a naked front bumper Why don't you just leave it off and see how it goes for a while?? Lxx
  10. I can only echo the other good things already said Fantastic time, bearing in mind the appalling weather but being stuck in a large marquee made us all have to socialise Hey, no one gave me any grief mind you I'd have kicked em in the walnuts Tom S - top geezer! the right blend of discipline and fun You worked your (damp) socks off from dusk to dawn and more than earnt your weeks holiday, lovely to chat to you Tom, enjoy your break All the club members that made the effort to stay and suffer really made what could have been a disappointing wash out a great weekend to everyone I met for the first time and those super folk I already know, a huge thanks for making my first JAE with the club a truly fantastic experience. Still didnt get the chance to meet and chat to loads others so roll on 2008!! Linda xxxx
  11. There seemed to be plenty tbh, because the weather was so bad there wasnt much to do other than drink and eat If the weather had been better we would have been out and about and not huddled in a (thankfully) large but warm marquee. I think thats what made the beer disappear more quickly than it would have otherwise? I think more wine would have been good as not all of us are beer drinkers and maybe more spirits? Otherwise, plenty of drinks and I'm surprised it stretched out plentifully bearing in mind the appalling weather Helped the weekend pass in good spirits though Linda xx
  12. Hey tom some super pics, great colour and clarity, captures the sunniest parts of the show I'm honoured my beast was amongst your shots! - Its first JAE in new guise. some absolutely gorgeous supra's on our stand was loving Gaz1's - immaculate (top fellah too ) supragolds (Mark's) looking the business as usual Matt H's striking in orange and so many more. Can really appreciate the time, money and tlc poured into all those cars. Felt proud to be on the stand so many variations on the supra, no two the same AND we won best stand at show!! OK I'll shut up now lolxx
  13. I thought you weren't going after all either Rob?? Or have you changed your mind Lx
  14. You just want someone to stick pins in you, don't you Ed Lx
  15. apologies for slight thread hijack try some pads with a high metal content of friction material, more bite - also more dust and squeeling CW does fast road pads, might be worth a try? Lx
  16. I'm in that club too so I'll run ahead and warn them :D:run: Lx
  17. You can 'erect' your tent in a boat with an anchor maybe?? At least the weather should be good enough saturday and sunday to dry us all out good news about the camping by the way, thanks Lx
  18. Hang over cures?? Some ideas on here I believe http://www.hungover.net/ Lx
  19. Hi all this plan is courtesy of Japmids, thanks and apologies to Ian, hope its ok Question is: camping - allocated camping is top left, quite a way from our stand. Will we be camping with our cars and marquee instead? Apologies but this will be my first JAE with the club though I saw you last year, with tents at side of marquee
  20. it means I'll have to find someone else to pick on :D any victims? volunteers? lolx
  21. thats more like it Welcome by the way I get between 140 -160 miles out of half a tank. Combined miles (includes about half heavy traffic, half clear A roads and motorways) with an occasional...erm...heavy foot but if you do that very often and for very long you can literally see the gauge dropping equates to about £35 of Vpower btw. Linda x
  22. me me me!!!! convoy stylee bring it on Lxx
