  1. Have to agree with Rosie Get rich - then you can afford to do/get pretty much anything/anyone Retire young - have the time and health to do those things Lx
  2. :rlol: nice one Pete dya think they put the decimal point in the wrong place by any chance?? Most of those ingredients would cost 99p each from Superdrug perleeeese!!! Lx
  3. Fellah, stop prevaricating and just GET ONE!!!! Sometimes people worry themselves out of opportunities then kick themselves further down the line for missing out. Supra's are fantastic cars whether stock or modified, you'll get endless smiles from it whether your booting it along a straight/twisty bit or gazing at it squatting on the drive looking lush. They are old cars now so parts will need replacing - keep them good quality, its worth spending that bit more, think of each component as an investment - feed them on the best fuel and lubricants, keep them regularly serviced.....and ENJOY!!! JUST DO IT!!! Linda xx

  5. hi!! and I'm in the west mids too, whats your town? if you dont mind me asking as theres a few of us around We're looking to set up an accessible regular meet You'll pay a bit more for an NA with a manual box, if you can find one. Needless to say, the for sale section is a great place to start. NA's usually are less modified > Linda x
  6. Hi Ed Sorry I couldnt make it, had to get the beast re-shod on Saturday then ended up with migraine Sunday, had to stay put Was it good?? gutted I couldnt go Lxx
  7. yeah me too! I'm insured with sky and pay monthly, I'm fully covered until renewal time in December and have had one cover note to last until then, or has there been a change in policy since last December??? I've only ever paid monthly with insurance companies so that assumption that 'all insurance companies work that way' is a bit of a puzzle! I'm somewhat concerned now! Linda
  8. Just seen this thread and thought....ahaaa! Yep, just this minute cleaned mine off and bolted them back in. Cleaned up courtesy of a bottle of tesco's finest lemon juice, two (empty ) yogurt cartons and 5 hours later clean as a whistle and bolted back in. Was amazed at how much gunk came off, it had leached around the flanges where it bolted in too My fuel consumption been dropping frighteningly of late, to the point of getting embarassed at how many visits I was paying at the Shell garage Will see how it goes over the next few days. another little joby done Lx
  9. Sympathise with you there. Mine creaks on the ns rear on accelerating and cornering sharply at the same time, but its ok on the straight. Have you cleared out the wheel well? if your spares still in is the bolt holding it on tight? How about your mini tool kit I have one in mine, in its bespoke polystyrene surround could one of your tools come loose? daft suggestions but worth looking at. I also found a RED Neon rattling around in my boot ....matches the ones under the seat i blame mad matt who had it before Mr Hanky and Rogue took ownership I'm popping mine in to Weston Performance shortly for a health check so if they spot a prob I'll let you know. Lx
  10. Well, having examined the map Telford is the most central spot, and I'd hate to miss anyone out Burna, where are you located? Gethin, would Telford be ok for you as kiddy would be too far The shropshire jap car club venue would be ideal I believe and we can meet up there for our first session and discuss future venues. At least then we have a start point wotcha think chaps?? Lx
  11. How about this one, genuine 1936 model, with down pipe and handy carry case... Lx
  12. great news Greg! Well done fellah, you've worked hard for it! Will they give you a laptop so you can keep in touch with us?? Lxx
  13. Banana and toffee dream delight icecream with lashings of toffee sauce.... Bring it on!!! Kiddy isnt too far either, tho its a hike for some of the NW lot Nice one Burna Lx
  14. howdy Thats what the idea is, partly to see how far we'd need to go to suit everyone, if ya know what I mean A country pub with a large car park would be cool Anything Shrewsbury way? Lx
  15. whats your speciality? maybe we can trade Lx
  16. I'll come and wee on you first then it wont be a problem, will it?? Lx
  17. At least mine doesnt look like a airfix kit from the bargain basket Lx
  18. ditto! are you ok? any bruises? apart from your pride sad news though...but then its a good excuse to go car shopping :trampoline: Lx
  19. :rlol: he he! You lot always make me smile Mind you, the look of surprise I get when they double take seeing a woman driving is hilarious Then there's its pulling power Lxx
  20. Hi you lot As getting over to Leicester or up 'narf for a regular meet is a bit of a hike, I thought it might be worth sounding you lot out in staffs, shrops and west mids for a possible regular meet thats reachable for us all? Jamie (Gnemie)? Ray(s the roof)? Adam (Hoff)? any suggestions? Decent sized car park, no speed bumps/ramps good food..... Weeknight about 7.30 or 8ish to give folks time to get home and freshen up, say on a Monday as per Mascrat as its not usually a 'going out night' due to post weekend..erm..stuff Linda x
  21. Its always difficult trying to suit everyone I tried to organise a local meet not long after I joined the forum but couldnt sort a date to suit everyone. Thing is for some of us further south is that we're sandwiched between east mids and North Staffs/Cheshire so we tend to loose out on Leicester and NW meets. I'm going to try and get feed back from some local owners on a possible good mid point for a meet - staffs or shropshire. Hopefully it will be close enough that you can join us too! Linda xx
  22. THREE times in the last couple of weeks I've been asked "is that yours or your husbands?"!!! FFS!!! I'm going to get a graphic to put on the rear window saying - "yeah, @rse hole, its MINE!!" It annoys me that I have to vindicate why, as a woman, I'm into performance cars. If I was a bloke it would be "hey, nice car mate .." I get that too sometimes, and mostly positive comments but sometimes.... OK, rant over Lx
