Try not to fight over the keys!! As long as you're going to win, of course Don't rush into buying, get the right one. Plenty of info and advice on here and worth getting one from another member, it should be well cared for and mint. Happy shopping Linda x

Sounds interesting although I've something planned otherwise would have popped along, will check out their web site though

As a mod you should be impartial and setting an example. Don't be arrogant. -

Agree with the above. had problem 1. with my supra last year, turned out to be the starter motor, had it refurbed and now right as rain!! Yup, get your brakes bled and fresh fluid, also check there's no leak from your brake lines as this could be causing a drop in pressure as well as a loss of fluid. (could even be the reason your warning light is coming on) As for the warning light, there's a thread on how to check your diagnostic codes - search under 'diagnostic' and it will probably bring it up. Good luck and don't be disheartened Linda

those little s*@t bags are probably illiterate anayway Feel for you, sickening. Glad you can at least get rid of the mess. Hope you catch the scr@tes L

That's harsh. It would appear that English is not his first language. That's not his fault. Ease off on being the grammar police and let him ask his questions.

I have an RPS max street clutch fitted to my N/A (5 speed pre face lift) supra and have to say it can be a PINTA to get in reverse, embarassing when I'm trying to manouvre and everyone's looking gulp!! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif Its also a bit stiff to get into 1st but to be honest as long as your fast on and off the clutch and don't expect to be able to balance it in traffic it makes for really quick gear changes It requires more foot pressure in first and reverse, I stomp hard on it and that seems to work!! All 8 stone plus of me To me its just part of the characteristics of that particular clutch, I don't think its any problem per se.

Boostlogic are acknowledged as one of the best NA-T conversion kits but you'll still need a few bits and bobs, again, do a search: http://www.boostlogic.com/xcart/home.php?cat=19 This club was set up precisely for what your after, everything covered: http://forum.clubna-t.com/ You wont get much change out of £5K for a quality conversion, a TT swap and BPU would almost certainly be less don't forget to factor in gear box ( a getrag 6 speed is rare as rocking horse poo and used £2K+) LSD, brakes (AP Racing or Brembo £2.5K+) You'd probably get a bit over 400bhp for the TT but with room for more power in the future than that - a single turbo perhaps rather than 350ish bhp for the NA-T and little room for increase without some serious upgrades = more expense. If your on a tight budget don't go NA-T. If things go wrong and you've no reserve funds your stuffed

What took you so long??!! Cool sounds like a good excuse to go out and get a wireless lap top, you need to work on your post count Welcome by the way! Linda x

I take it you've dismissed looking at possible front lips? Maybe get one and get it built up by a good bodyshop? If you went for a celica which is narrower, you may have trouble with the fixing points too. Could mean drilling holes, fabrication as well as fabricating the spoiler with fibre glass. Could be an expensive option in the long run ? You could always lower it

Hey Rich I posted a similar thread recently, really feel for you fellah. Thing is with the supra is that your heart rules your head - and your wallet! You sigh/swear/tear your hair out but eventually pay to get it sorted, and when it's all done.....WOW!! Its amazing, feels like a new car and you fall in love with it all over again and wonder why you got so down about it in the first place. With spring around the corner and better driving conditions on the horizon, you've something to look farward to. How about starting to get a few jobs done at a time so the repair bills are spread out? You have a daily runner so there's no mad urgency. chin up hun Linda xx

and Its hard waiting patiently for the right supra to come along once you've decided to buy one You could do a lot worse than buy from someone on here. As has been said, it should be a well looked after beast. Those are some hefty charges you have to pay befofe you even get behind the wheel though!! Good luck in your search and don't be in a hurry to buy, the right one for you is out there Might be worth putting a little more money away, maybe 8K if you can. Linda x

I did this circuit in an Elise, all those twisty bits nearly dislocated my shoulders but its exciting. Won't put my supra through it but would defo like to pop along to watch. Is there a charge to spectate? By the way, I go to stock car racing there and even in the summer the wind is arctic, very open and exposed site, even when your face is cooking so take warm clothes (PS sorry to sound like mum x)

Hi Andy Listen out for any knocking on turning or acceleration as this could indicate suspension problems. Hiting speed bumps won't do your alignment much good either. Check for wear patterns on the inner/outer tyres, anything excessive could indicate tracking is out I don't think alignment checks are covered in general service so maybe get it checked out somewhere that knows their stuff. These cars cars have twitchy rears anyway, as has been said A harder compound tyre won't grip so well in the wet/damp causing the rear to snake around. If the suspension gets the all clear a good set of sticky rubber may be useful - Toyo proxes T1R's are excellent others here may have suggestions. What tyres do you have currently by the way?? Have you tried Ibrar on here?

Just to get the paint to key you would have to spend a lot of time and elbow power to de-grease it. Then there's all the masking off....... It would never look as tidy as a respray. Up to you fellah but probably best left well alone.

wow the highest milege supra i have seen
turbonut replied to Jurgen-Jm-Imports's topic in Supra Chat
I can't access the link as I'm at work so dont know how old it is but my supra is a 93 and quite low mileage. However, if it had averaged 12,000 miles a year from new it could easily have done 180,000 miles in its 15 years. -
Aw, the person I most looked up to in the world when I was a nipper, not only original but naturally talented and could do wonders with the most simple things. Knocked the spots of Rolf Morph was ace, maybe one of the inspirations for Aardman Animations?? R.I.P Mr Hart xxxx

magnesium wheels are very light but the metal is softer than aluminium alloy so they won't take well to kerb abuse!!! doh..just seen the date on this, I wonder if he took the plunge in the end???
