  1. I waited all my life.... ... ... lol!! xx
  2. 2,000cc (2litre) and its a four cylinder engine, could someone have substituted a celica engine? and erm....why? with the standard weight and dimesions a 2 litre engine is hardly 'drag/strip' etc friendly!!!! Me smells sumat fishy, lad Lx
  3. Hi As regards clocked jspecs - dont believe everything you hear! A few may but as has been said, buy from one of us chaps and you'll be fine. Theres a web site for jap imports that will check the mileage at import into the UK for £10 all you need is the VIN details. As for insurance, as UK spec TT may be very close to a Jspec N/A in terms of premium as the all N/A's are Jspec and therefore 'grey imports' making them more expensive to insure. If you are going to do many modifications you may want to consider an insurer that will give you like for like return on your mods and an agreed value, should the worst happen. If you dont and it gets written off, if you have spent £3,000 modifying it you will only get list value back. Sky is the club insurer and does agreed values and like for like, you can PM them, think user name is actually 'skyinsurance ' Aplan is another one friendly to imports, other members will be along shortly to suggest more Its worth hanging on til the right supra comes along, be patient Lindaxx
  4. It looks dull. Needs shading and detail or it'll look like youve been drawing fishbones with your girl friends eye liner Not into tatts although Stonkin has a fabulous one but his is a work of art with loads of detail and its on his back so not hitting you in the face - and he has the physique to carry it off, I believe Lx
  5. Hey mark Delighted for you fellah, must take balls to go out on the strip particularly when the place was heaving with people Time sounds excellent and after just 3 runs sorry didnt get chance to say hi next time though Linda xx
  6. Fantastic to watch Worth waiting all year to see it run, fantastic work Linda xx
  7. :rlol: hilarious, just what I needed on this dull monday Lxx
  8. It was a cracking day, some fantastic cars going up the strip and the supras flying up there did us proud Really enjoyed meeting so many people again, new and old Not enough time to meet everyone so a good excuse to go to lots more shows next year Seeing all our supra's on the stand made me so proud what a fabulous sight!! And all so different. Roll on Suprapod!!! Linda xxx
  9. It also has an aftermarket induction kit, may be worth having a thorough check for other engine mods, battery could have been moved to make way for some other changes. Any thing done to the engine will have a hefty effect on insurance premium. Leather didnt come as standard and is amongst several interior mods. In your friends place Id want a definitive list of all mods before taking the plunge. best of luck Lx

  16. Male or Female? You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples: FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them. PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons. TIRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt. SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water. WEB PAGES: Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on. TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people. EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom. HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around. THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying
  17. If anyones got a pass from the last jap show it'll likely be the same...erm...maybe mines at home somewhere Lx
  18. You could try just changing to softer springs first, rather than go the whole new dampers and springs route and see if that helps. I take it the dampers are not adjustable btw? You could look at some fully adjustable coilovers? L
  19. .....anyway, I'm not built for running, I'd knock myself out
  20. You can have a long steady jog to wolverhampton and wash/polish/detail my car if you like pete, that'll shift the weights off ....I'll even let you refuel on ryvita L

    Oem??

If your getting insured on a like for like basis with mods as with Sky it would probably increase your premium on a replacement basis but looking at some of the insurance threads on here its quite a minefield with no standardisation between them and not necessarily down to safety. Best thing is to ask Theres a representetive from sky and ( I think) a link, give them a shout, A plan is another to try, http://www.aplan.co.uk/contact.php?int= theyre quite competetive and sympathetic to jap car owners. Good luck anyway L

    Oem??

no as OEM are standard as long as theyre specific to your particular model. if theyre specific to another supra i.e larger uk brakes put on to replace lil jspec then its a mod and would need to be declared....i believe... Linda x
  23. Im gutted, I'd have preferred the brushed SS as it goes with the rest of my dash Lx
  24. Hi Ossy Only just looked at your thread, its a real shame the price has dropped so low but £8K seems about right with the current market although its had lots of mods. So depressing seeing the value of these cars drop so much bearing in mind their original cost and the investments made on upgrading them Good luck with the sale though, hope it goes through without any hitches Linda x
