I get the idea but wouldnt it be better to forget the bling for now and use the money constructively to rework the suspension, transmission, diff and brakes etc before you start prettying it up? To put more power through you'd need to upgrade and/or beef up those things. Engine bling would go out the window as you'd have a totally new set up under the bonnet anyway. Good luck with it though, its something a lot of us are aiming for. Linda x

Hi peeps I took out RAC breakdown cover last year when I bought the supra. I've been spoilt by owning new cars up until now so thought it would be a good idea, even though its a Toyota Well, they charged me 79.99 - more than UK cars as its an import apparently Its just come up for renewal, they've discounted 10% Great!! except they've increased it to 100.80!! Cover is for me not just vehicle (only need vehicle tbh) but me in anyones car, Roadside, recovery, at home, 'accident care'. This seems steep to me but previous club toyota insurance wouldnt cover me as mine is japanese Anyone had similar experience? Or should I just keep a mechanic in the boot??? Advice and suggestions please Linda x

your looking at a bill of about 424 quid then. tbh, you would be better off getting shot of the VS front (which is well out dated to be honest) and getting a different front - 300 will buy a decent one, such as Top secret or Do Luck, maybe a bit less, possibly 100 -150 to spray and fit. I had VS all round too, lowered on coilovers, was a nightmare, previous owners too had bottomed it out and the overhang was a mare. After a couple of months of it I got so hacked off I decided to change it plus it was quite damaged If your fed up now, how you going to feel in 6 months? It spoils the ownership, really.
