  1. Yep, definitely something draining the battery, was doing same thing to the previous battery so looks like an autoelectrician tomorrow Have to cancel getting my wheels refurbed and the spats resprayed now Lx
  2. Hi chaps Back at base with the supra. Yes, I checked the charge with the ignition off when it wouldnt start, when it was just over 10V. They started it by hooking leads to the flatbed. got it to the garage, they then called me a few minutes later. Apparently the immobiliser needed to reset (?), they used the 'stick' in the socket under the dash and it started up. However, after driving it 20 miles, long enough to get some charge into the battery, switched it off and restarted it. Still sluggish to turn over. will check voltage again tonight. Soop dog - that sounds about right. I'll check the battery again in the morning. Chris - given the problem with the immobiliser thats possible too. Its become more and more reluctant to turn over in the last 10 days so its been ongoing rather than sudden. Is it possible to change the diode pack with the supra do you know? thanks again guys Lx
  3. After using the booster pack on it yesterday it was up to 13.5V spoke to a mechanic friend who says sounds like the alternator's draining the battery thanks for the suggestions, got to get it started and get it to a garage....looks like the recovery peeps again L
  4. turned key in ignition just, one click.....nothing thought battery running down of late, had new one put in yesterday, that didnt work either! it only had 10.5V Had recovery out, he used booster pack. I took it for a 45 min run and later it just about started up. Got it home, checked voltage, back up to 12.5V Checked voltage this morning back down to 10.5V Is something draining the battery overnight? Is it the starter motor or distributor? Help!! (distraught) Linda
  5. mmmm hybrids Not sure about the 'splats' though Lx
  6. Tbh, engine wise your better off getting an unmolested or lightly modified one that way you can sort all the modifications you want and know the source/quality/make etc rather than having unknowns under the bonnet that may have been poorly fitted. Its a beautiful looking supra and ideal for a performance upgrad project I'd try and get them down on the price though, seems a bit rich. Be cheeky and offer £9K Oh, and Linda
  7. Hi Jamie Ibbrar's powdercoating my wheels black in a couple of weeks so I'll post up pics when they're done so you'll see how they look Keeping the polished lip though Linda xx

    Newby confused

These details are actually for the TT but it will give you an idea of dimensions for your garage, and something to think about if you should find the £ for a TT some day: http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/cars/supra.html The N/A is no slouch either, 0-60 in around 6.3 - 6.5 secs. Depends what your comparing it against outside of a WRX. The auto box is excellent and has a manual overide I believe but others can tell you more, or try the search button 5 speed manuals are a little more expensive - up to 4.5K, an auto less from about 3.2 K but worth spending a little more for a mint one. A budget of 4K will get you a nice auto, hold out for a good one as some cheaper ones can be real dogs It may be worth remembering that some aftermarket kits will extend the length/width in terms of fitting in your garage. Good luck and happy shopping! Linda x
  9. This was sent to me by my old college, quite interesting although not a great deal of detail, worth a look I reckon Linda x
  10. and ....to both your self and your partner, Kaz, will she be joining us on the forum? Not enough of us girls on here!! btw, winding up the mods is not necessary and could get you infractions or even a ban, just thought you should be warned This is one of the best run owners clubs on line, due in no small part to the way its moderated. Relax and enjoy the ride!!! ....and get Kaz on line too! Linda x
  11. I have toyo proxes T1R's, nice and sticky, even in the wet sounds like you could be toe-ing out too. Bit pointless getting new tyres put on until your geometry corrected otherwise you'll wreck those too IMO Keep an eye on your tyre pressure. As Ian says, 34-36 psi is what most of us run our supra's on. If they were really flat it could have been a faulty valve. Linda
  12. black or gunmetal. Ibbrar (Tyre logic, just changing trading name to speedwells, one of our Trader's) is powder coating mine black, keeping the polished lip, quoted me happy Drop him an email. I think he can mail them too if distance is a problem. Linda

    Honesty Test

Somehow I don't think the RX7 owner wondering where his goods are would agree. ....but as he's probably not a member on here....
  14. Thats it, rub salt in the wound of us slaving away as usual but then, with so many slackers people off the roads are quiet so less traffic and a fun blast to work, 120 less emails today and therefore less work So peeps like you are making my life a lot easier this week lol Linda
  15. When her next tutorial is due, she could perhaps take a copy of her dissertation and an Oxford Dictionary in with her. I spent two years working on my dissertation and if she is going to be marked like this for that length of time it could become quite annoying. Besides, if the work is spell checked on her PC it would indicate her PC is incorrect not herself, highly unlikely! Given her good relationship with her tutor, it will hopefully be resolved but she should stand her ground if she feels genuinely unfairly treated and her work possibly jeopardised. All the best, Linda

    Poor memory

Hi col If you've a lot on your mind at the moment, your mind will be flitting around from one thing to another and unable to focus on any one thing. Tiredness can be a cause too, how are you sleeping? As someone else has said, stress can be a factor. I started taking Co-Enzyme Q10 to help my energy levels and its had a positive effect on my levels of concentration and memory too, much better and less tired generally. You can get if from most health stores, take it regularly and see how it goes. I get Holland and Barrett' - this one on special offer at the moment: http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=76 ginseng is also really good but it can disturb your sleep as it makes you hyper in large doses!! Hope you get it sorted Linda
  17. ?? oh really??? I've seen a lot of men who can't drive for toffee so it goes both ways. Darryl, bad news hun sorry to hear it. Glad your unscathed. You have right of way if your on a main road and she was coming out of a minor junction from the left. Hope Sky get it sorted without any hold ups. Good luck with your new Supra project too!! Linda x
  18. Its a beauty check out the NE meets for anything upcoming and show it off!! Linda x
  19. Is this Shared Equity/Shared Ownership? If so it would be an agreement between yourself and a Housing Association. You would take out a mortgage on the initial equity - 50% - and pay a small rent - maximum 2% - on the remaining value, then you will be able to 'staircase out' by increments, usually 25% at a time after a certain time, until you had 100% of the mortgage. The Housing Corporation issue excellent advice: http://www.housingcorp.gov.uk/upload/pdf/SO_leaflet_20050923114822.pdf good luck Linda x
  20. mmm tasty, any pics of the interior Gaz?? Lx
  21. Hi Andy I'm happy with my N/A so not looking to buy but most people on here would want pictures of the engine bay and interior too, maybe some better quality photos as well to show what a minter it certainly is can you borrow a friends digi camera? Have you tried autor trader website? they do very good deals for selling. Good luck and keep trying, took me more than 2 months to sell my last car over Dec/Jan/Feb 2006/7 be persistant the right buyer is out there. Linda xx
  22. Hi Steve Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. yes, they have done a prototype, not sure if its also in production but ask Peter at the company for more details. cheers Linda
