  1. Do your own version of a receipt, with 'sold as seen' detailing condition, price and mileage and both your's and his address/contact details: two copies one for you and one for him and get him to sign and date both. If anything happens you have a signature. Check and count your money before you hand over the keys. If he's genuine I'm sure he won't mind doing things your way good luck with the handover Lx
  2. These were not £30 from ebay, they are being sold at what i paid, it would be dishonest and unfair and against club spirit to try to sell them at a profit. In fact I am making a loss There are other spats on ebay for £80 and £140 even I am being made redundant shortly and really need all the £ I can get, these are good quality, a decent thickness, smooth and ready for the paint shop. I have seen cheap bumpers from when I was looking for mine and they were paper thin. You get what you pay for lol. Linda
  3. How cool is that!! Happy birthday Lx
  4. :woot: Fantastic! Delighted for you fellah Its amazing watching the pros as they make it look so effortless but they started off the same as you, huge achievement, must take guts and determination (hence why I'd love to give it a go but would be rubbish ) but looks great fun - keep it up!! Look forward to seeing you doing a demo at one of the shows soon! Linda x
  5. 110 each when new, 100 pounds the pair. Must collect (West Midlands - can bring to Japshow) As above, have 3mm + tread, hard wearing, need them out the way: 255/35Z R18: Sorry for the big fuzzy pics, don't know how to resize Cheers Linda
  6. Ordered these but didnt need them as current ones were repairable. Unwrapped only to photograph, white gel coat ready for primer and colour of your choice Linda
  7. oooo!! its like a birthday Is Mawby going to buy all of us cream cakes then......all 20,000 of us Lxx
  8. I'm freewheeling down there as Toddington means a loop and more miles. Seems toddington lot will be there for 9:15. Makes a change from a usual 5:30 start Linda
  9. You'll also need a trolley jack and a pair of axle stands and also change the oil filter at the same time - no point putting clean oil through a dirty filter. If you put fully synthetic oil in you can go plenty of time between services as it does not break down as quickly. There is an excellent guide on here for oils and lubricants etc: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=56684 for suppliers go to Oilman (opie oils). You can get a filter from a Toyota dealer - steve manley can give a discount and delivers: 01865 291333. Another easy job is changing the air filter. Can get that from Steve too. good luck and enjoy!! Linda
  10. Hi Rich Im interested in the parcel shelf but would need it delivered? cheers mate Linda
  11. aw...never mind, it made me giggle and wanted to share it
  12. :rlol: hehehe!! the first thread I've read this year thats had the tears of laughter rolling down my face....I love this forum!! Maybe we should have a caveat in the new members section about 'Sense of humour required' for forum membership. We've all had the rip taken out of us at one time or another, relax and join in fellah, its harmless
  13. Is there anything in the garage worth more than your supra? How much would it cost to repair the door compared to repairing the supra, maybe several times (though certainly wouldnt wish it on you hun) Must be worth the outlay in time and money Linda x
  14. awful, feel for you fellah but at least you've taken action for the future. Doesnt make the situation feel any better though. A pity you can't park if off road. My first new car (straight out the show room) was only 9 months old when I parked it outside a friends house. Was only gone a couple of minutes, came out and there was a double scratch going from the front panel right into the rear quarter, too deep to TCut out. Either got keyed or was some clumsy blighter on a bike. Gutting Is it worth investing in your own CCTV and hooking it up so you can see it online at work? Or maybe a dummy one? Not ideal but.... Lx
  15. aha!! wondered how it worked Cheers Lx
  16. A man was leaving a cafe with his morning coffee when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse about 50 feet behind the first. Behind the second hearse was a solitary man walking a pit-bull on a leash. Behind him was a queue of 200 men walking in single file. The man couldn't stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the man walking the dog. 'I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in single file. Whose funeral is it?' The man replied, 'Well, the first hearse is for my wife.' 'What happened to her?' The man replied, 'My dog attacked and killed her.' He inquired further, 'Well, who is in the second hearse?' The man answered, 'My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog turned on her.' A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two men........ 'Can I borrow the dog?' 'Join the queue.'
