  1. lolx I had a scrap with him in a PM after somes sexist insinuation he made surprised eh, me having a go He was actually pretty clued up but they are picky about who they choose to insure. Age is going to be a bit of a prob regardless of who you go to but good luck fellah. Oh yeah, try APlan. They don't do agreed value but I think they do like for like on mods. Don't have number on me but look them up. L x
  2. and Agree with the comments so far. You may be in the right place at the right time but if you can save for a bit longer, get about 7K behind you. It will give you a wider choice to look at. You can use the time to find out more about the gear boxes and what others are payingat the mo. Definitely worth getting a supra from a forum member, it'll be a well looked after motor Happy hunting Linda
  3. greenlight registered on here last year, if you do a search you may find the thread, sorry feeling lazy or would look myself
  4. Lighter fluid and a rag does the trick and won't damage the paintwork, thats what Rob used on removing my old badges
  5. I got some from RS Components, another member made me a bracket - quite straightforwad, just an 'L' shaped bar with holes for the bolts, a straight fit, no need for drilling. The pair with VAT 98.62 stock number 3399050, 464 mm s/s var press gas spring. Phone number 01536 405693
  6. I don't know if this is er.....legal.... but could you get a member to buy it on your behalf and then post it on to you?? I had the same rad plate from Whiffbitz and, like Nick said, really nice quality. Linda
  7. Was sent this last week, had me in stitches
  8. ouch!! Congrats hun, hope both are doing well. Lx
  9. At least it shows the mods are working Lx
  10. The nice ones go to thread heaven the horrible ones go to thread hell
  11. Oh really?? Female member here......... I had a guy sound/behave exactly that way to me (you summed it up in a nutshell, thanks ) It was vile and annoying. Needless to say I knocked it on the head soon after, so please don't make sweeping assumptions Karma, you can listen to all the advice in the world but without hard facts - WHY she left you, from the horses mouth so to speak its all pretty meaningless. But, tbh, from her sudden change of heart it really would seem she's met someone who's swept her off her feet very quickly. Your comments would indicate that you were both insecure about each other anyway which is no way to have a relaxed, fun relationship - which is how it should be Its heartbreaking but time truly is a healer. You have some great mates on here who are behind you 100% and hopefully you will have a fresh start and lotsa fun for a while!!! All the best mate Linda xx
  12. :wtf:is wrong with some people!!! Sorry to hear it Kim, gutted for you Does that mean your going to have to keep it now ?? Lx
  13. still on my first This is going to be an interesting thread I reckon
  14. Thought it might be more but after phoning loads of scrap merchants locally, only one interested. As I've just been made redundant it all helps and I'll no longer risk multiple bruises each time I try to get past it
  15. Couldn't sell it for supra use so at least made a few quid - 22 to be precise Weighed 7 Kilos so going rate must be 3 quid per kilo. Maybe worth doing if you've got one sitting around unwanted Linda
  16. This was my supra before I got rid of the VS kit - it had a stock rear spoiler. OK, its red but ya get the idea!!!
  17. tbh though price of fuel has shot up ridiculously. If your crawling through traffic or making lots of small journeys, both of which suck up more juice, can all add up to lotsa dosh, sadly Maybe your oxygen sensors are clogged and thats affected your fueling?? Actually you can buy an electric car and still look the dogs: http://electriccars.com/SHOWROOM_1/intro.cfm
  18. !!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hi hun, have a good 'un
  19. I'm glad it went smoothly and had such a cracking turnout. As I couldnt be there I went out for a blast in my supra at 2pm today, to think and pray for Lewis - also Darren and Rik. My thoughts and prayers with them and their families. I prayed too that we wouldnt have another such thread as this. Rest in Peace Lewis, drive safely in heaven Linda xx
  20. The invisible man's been knicking your supra and CC and going for a spin whilst your in bed...... Think he's been doing the same with mine too!!! Scary, huh?? Lx
  21. Only if you promise to mud wrestle with Ian again
  22. If your planning on keeping it for a while it would be an investment, as you love it TO bits rather than IN bits!! If you were not fussed breaking it for parts would be a good idea but seems youd rather keep it!! Its an opportunity to do some major upgrades (new turbo's?) and have an interesting project.....if you can afford it Why don't you give Gaz at Envy a shout to see what he thinks and if its worth the expense? or Paul Whiffin? Will give you an idea of cost anyway Linda x
