  1. Really???!! .......runs off to buy winning lottery ticket Prices are shocking though
  2. Looks and sounds like a cracking car, good luck with the sale though disappointed for you that you have to let it go Hopefully someone from the madhouse forum will buy it All the best with the sale, price sounds right to me ( I have a 5 speed manual with a few bits and pieces on it too ) Linda x
  3. Hi Fellah Supra's going to do you well, better than the RX7 For a good NA 5 speed manual (the facelift had a 6 speed fitted) you'd be looking at around 4k, maybe a little more if its been well looked after. There are not too many unmolested TT's, fewer still with manual boxes but 7K should be enough, maybe more maybe less as it will depend on what upgrades it's had. But that supra looks gorgeous, like Nic said unusual kit, very tidy package, looks like its had a bit of work under the bonnet, maybe a slight boost to performance although you'll struggle to get much more bhp out of an NA without throwing silly money at it. Go for the NA Jurgen's getting you, see what you think. You can always sell it on and get a TT, can't see you having any trouble shifting it !! Linda x
  4. Ed!! Your supra's one of the best looking on the forum, you've put loads of work into it and its paid off, its a beauty so Did you slip leaping over the fence to take a pee in the bushes Ed?? I think a caption competition would be a good idea Cracking pics guys Lx
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!.......ya big hunk of manliness, you  Off clubbing later I take it Lxxxxxxxx
  6. Niz Joking apart, you'd need a strong degreaser, you need to key the surface and remove every spec of dust or it will show through, primer, several layers of paint and rubbing down between each coat, probably some laquer/sealer too. If the temperature is too low or the humidity is wrong it will affect the drying of the paint. Unfortunately, if you wet paint it and there's any corrosion it will still come through the fresh paint, blister and flake off. You could get areas of overspary resulting in orange peel, drips or a dull patchy finish. It won't hide any kerbing, may even make it appear worse unless you want to start on that too...... It will also flake if you've not prepared the surface right at any of the stages. Find someone to do it professionaly, for what its worth, or you risk ruining a full set of wheels. 30 quid a wheel for a refurb or 800 quid for a new set. up to you L
  7. need a hand wiv your suitcase hun??? I'm still good for that weekend Ed
  8. Hi Alex If your really serious about it check out this forum, see if anyone else is doing it in a Supra although tbh, not seen it at any EDC or demo events. Phil Morrison at Driftworks (member on here, has shoehorned a TT block into his S15 ) http://www.driftworks.com/index.php As for power, I've seen AE86's (Steve Parry) with only 160 bhp doing the job!! Strip it out, weld the diff, put in a roll cage, better hand brake, put on some camber adjustable Tein's and away ya go! sideways hopefully!! Either that or spend a few hundred quid on an old S13 (will cost you less than modifying your supra, plus your gona stuff it into the tyre wall or armco at some point whilst your learning the ropes) Suprash on here has done and he's loving it. Lx
  9. It might be worth getting 1 or 2 opinions as they do sound like expensive replacements, may not be necessary, or can maybe wait a little longer, as has been said already. Hope you find a good garage, watch out for cowboys Lx
  10. Why not paint the whole car at the same time??
  11. You can get carbon fibre versions
  12. Hey Adam You can go for the stock front and put a lip on, quite a few to choose from and will make it a little different without the drama It'll suit OEM skirts too. Most aftermarket bumpers catch tbh, depends on your ride height too. Make sure that whatever you go for matches the style of the skirts (sorry hun, can't remember what you have on already! ) Horses for courses mate! Lxx
  13. It is indeed but being so far south a lot of us are giving it a miss. Good point though L
  14. Bank holiday weekend sounds good to me Ed, probably be camping in that area that weekend too, unless its lashing down You could drop a PM to peeps that are on the list to get feedback on best day?? Lx
  15. Hi and ditto on whats being said re fuel consumption. Mine is an N/A, a 93 and averages about 18-19mpg around town in traffic. Motorway maybe 22-23. Not great for an N/A but may need new oxygen sensors A stock TT will give you similar if its been well looked after but one that's had a power upgrade and other mods will return poorer mpg. You'll gain a few mpg more with an N/A but not a lot. in terms of 0-60, an NA will do it in about 6.3-6.5, a TT 4.6 when it came out the factory. There are some good guides in the newbie section here. but aside from that, running costs can be high as these are old cars and things wear out. Keep on top of repairs and get regular sevicing and that solid Toyota reliability will show through. Insurance too is high and the new road tax will be painful Finding a good garage is a major task but ask on here: Envy are local for you. See if anyone local will take you for a spin, an N/A and a TT for comparison. Good luck and happy shopping! Linda x
  16. The silly grin becomes permanent!! Fantastic, another female in the supra fold cool bananas Lynz looking forward to seeing you at shows and events with your supe Looks mint too, really liking the wheels Linda xx
  17. Agree with Edd here, it would be ace to have an all Supra meet. even if its just a handfull of peeps Any idea on date yet Edd? Apart from Rotostock 9/10 August that month would probably be good, not that I'm being bossy:taped: just a suggestion Lx
  18. *cough* ya know I'm sure I've got something on that weekend whichever one it is.... Maybe you have a basque in his colour....
  19. turbonut

    Hello everyone

oooh a red'un!! the best colour - ignore what anyone else says to the mad house those wheels are the nuts, can I be cheeky and ask what make they are please?? Linda x
  20. They'll shaft you from every direction mate, fact of life I can't believe they tax you with a SORN too if you want to take it off the road, since you do it to save costs and its one less car to pollute/clog the roads (even though a supra does both in style!! ) stinker isn't it? sympathise fully hun Linda x
  21. Not if edd's in charge of the entertainment!! Nice one Edd
  22. It looks a minter Gotta be a much better deal in the wet, can throw it around the bends a lot more with 4WD and it'll stick like glue. I know a few supra owners who've gone on to Skyline ownership and wouldn't go back. Horses for courses, eh? I'm not a purest, love all jap performance cars enjoy mate!! I think you should show it of to the Jap North East lads, they're a nice bunch. Linda x
  23. As long as its a weekend - Sunday Roast 1 - Suprastar3000 2 - UkRich 3 - AshBhp 4 - Couv3z 5 - Turbonut
  24. You want a manual box Lynz then your fully in control
  25. FFS One DVLA office says its when the car was SVA'd before importing to the UK, and another says that the banding is done on the year of manufacture not when first registered in the UK Another case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing Its been a hypocritical tax all along. They are introducing it as a 'show room tax' i.e.; new cars originally, then they're making it retrospective to 2001 and after......and now?? pre 2001!!! then they're going to increase fuel tax by another 2p in the autumn to add further misery to an already crippled economy. I filled up on VPower today - 49 quid got me 40 litres Sometimes I hate this bl@@dy country sorry, I'll shut up now
