  2. We can do both...... .....means leaving out EARLY though
  3. Group buy??? Joking aside though (although the issue is laughable in itself) they've been threatening to do this for years. The suggestion pops up now and again and eventually subsides to be resurrected another day. I'm not a parent but an occasional clip around the ear taught me respect for my parents and contributed to learning a strong sense of right and wrong. Sadly, some kids don't respond to the strongest reprimands. But policing people in their own homes is not the answer. If you love your child you will do the best to bring it up well and if that includes a slap around the legs when necessary then it is your choice, surely. Is it just me or is it from around the time corporal punishment at school was stopped that kids seemed to start getting out of hand?
  4. Hi Simon Gutted and angry for you. Had similar thing happen with guy making up false witnesses. He cut me up and wacked me in the side, spinning me into a barrier. fortunately he stopped but he left after exchanging details whereas I was there for over an hour until I was towed away. Not a soul stopped at the time so definitlely no witnesses, he was just a lying toe rag Hopefully the bike witnesses will stand up for you fellah Did they breathalise her at the scene? Good luck and hope its salvagable Lxx
  5. Welcome to the cheeky girls boys A sense of humour helps here Good to have another supra owner on board. Any specifications for your set-up? Linda
  6. No point in breaking our necks to get there as it's an all-dayer I guess though that those wanting to go down the strip will want an earlyish start?? Although if its going to be a gloriously hot sunny day we need to get there early to make the best of it?? ....OK, wishful thinking........ How about a lie in and aim to be there for 10? Can we stop off at MacD's for brekkie please?? pleeeeese?? Lx
  7. Sadly couldnt make it in the end as I've been poorly but been to previous wash-out Pod events and know how gutting it is. Hope that everyone got home safetly, weather was truly abysmal Fingers crossed for Suprapod
  8. Guesswork off here is all well and good but ultimately you need a professional diagnosis, irrespective of the cost. Shouldnt be more than about £50 or £60 and take it from there. Best avoid driving it for now, even if it does tick over as you could just be exacerbating the problem and causing further damage. Good luck with it anyway, feel for you L
  9. Look, Look!! I found one!! http://www.completeoutdoors.co.uk/Life-Venture-Collapsable-Bowl Only thing is it holds about 15 litres......
  10. Nothing new there then Welcome aboard Linda x
  11. Welcome to the mad Supra house Loads of info on here although some of its a bit dodgy Linda xx
  12. Can I have first dibbs on Jamie's collapsible bucket then???
  13. In the couple of years I've been a member, this thread crops up regularly and it always amazes me the wide range of mpg - not just between TT and N/A, and single but from TT to TT etc. There doesn't seem to be a definitive figure. I've found that from fill to fill alone the mpg varies. Some have found that humidity and ambient temperatures also affect driving. With cold starts in the winter mpg will be worse as well. Fascinating....... I wonder if modern sports cars are so variable on their fuel consumption and affected to such an extent by external factors.... (sorry, in contemplative mood today....I'll shut up now...)
  14. we'll see......I haf a plan .....
  15. oh dear Looks like I'd get better mpg from a TT I'm lucky if I get 300 out the tank for combined driving and thats a lil' 'ol N/A Looks like letter to santa this year will have oxygen sensors somewhere in it
  16. WOW!! you spoil me!! erm......no ta, I'll just have to carry on making turbo spooling, wastegate chattering noises although I get a sore throat on a long journey on twisty roads I'm really torn tbh wnat to go but don't want to damage the supra. oh bottom
  17. cheers Steve, I'll pay at the gate thanks Are you bringing Katie and the little man? Lx
  18. Lynz has had a go at Pod previously I believe. My supra's poorly at the mo, doubt I'll get if fixed in time so although I'd like to, its off the agenda for me L
  19. Weather looks a bit naff early on (hope link works ): http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=uk7dayx6;page=5;type=free;ct=30156~Wellingborough;sess=#forecast If folk are keen, may be an idea to bring your cleaning/detailing stuff as its a damp start. erm, nooooo thats not an offer to wash other people supra's!!! Linda x
  20. Only if you've a T51 singel tubbie supra sitting on the drive I know I should keep it home but this is the last show of the season and the last chance to see my mates til Crimbo Its been bad for several weeks now and still drivable.....just Anyway, I have breakdown cover Lxx
  21. I spent 3 years wanting an STi then I was coming home from work one day, a black supra slid past me and roared off....I had one of those draw dropping "OMG-I must have one!!" moments. Couldnt afford it at the time, was paying for a new car. But 18 months later I had my own I spent months researching the supra so I'd know what I was letting myself in for Luckily, the first supra I went to look at (owned by someone on here) was a beauty, solid, enough mods to make it interesting but nothing extrememe. I had no intention of making any changes initially but after a new body kit, full leather/alcantara interior etc etc its about how I want it They are pretty bullet proof as long as you don't do anything daft and any modifications are quality and fitted properly. Parts wear out so make sure you have a pot stashed away for repairs. Hope you get your dream supra before long Linda x
