Hi, Found some time to look at the Supra today. Jumped in the car and it started straight away and ran again for 2 to 3 seconds then dies. Anyway shorted the diagnostics plug, but it showed no faults, but the engine check light pulsed constantly, along with the overdrive light on the dash! Looked at the diagnostics document on line for the engine and noted that stalling directly after start up could be the 'fuel control circuit' I have checked that there is 12V being fed to the pump contol computer in the boot, and there is a constant 4.5v at the same plug (pins 1 & 3) when cranking. Finally I shorted the diagnostics plug to check to see if the pump ran and I can hear it clearly in the boot. Bad light stopped play, so I forgot to get my wife to start the car as I listened to hear whether the pump stopped when the engine cuts out, or attempts to carry on pumping fuel? The diagnostics char stated it could then be the ECU, but I'm not convinced, as if the ECU had died, surely the engine wouldnt run normally for the first few seconds? Any thoughts where to look next?

Oh yea all the warning lights came on! My receipt states unleaded.. I did wonder myself. I will attempt to see if there are any fault codes.

Thanks Guys, I imagine the only way to check the filter is to whip it off, then reverse flush it with carb cleaner to see if any gunk comes out?

One thing, I did fill up at Tescos about 10 miles back, I did run the tank quite low, but no lower than normal.

Hi Guys, On the way to work this morning, car nicely warmed up cruising nice. then suddenly without warning the engine cuts out... still coasting, after a couple of seconds the engine fires up on its own and is sweet.... 10 seconds later the same thing happens... engine cuts.... dead this time. Managed to coast off the road. Turn the ignition off. Go to start again, fires up instantly for about 2 seconds then stumbles for a second or 2 then dead. Checked the operation of the immobiliser and seems good. Tried a good dozens times during the morning but the same thing. If I keep kicking down on the throttle the engine will keep running very iratically, but not enough power to run in gear. I am guessing fuel? Any ideas?

Hi Has anyone got an Original Toyota 6 disc autochanger that works? I am trying to keep my Supra stock, but the Toyota 6 disc autochanger that's in the boot has broken. Tried stripping and cleaning the lens but no joy, just 'ERR 1' all the time. Help

Hi A am thinking about fitting a Varis style rear bumper and side skirts onto my car. Probably from Knight Racer? I am reasonable at bodywork, but haven't ever done a bodykit before. Are these of reasonable quality and straightforward to fit? I guess they only come as a shell moulding with no fixing stuff? Can someone give me advise on whether these are good parts or are they a poor quality and best avoided? Whats peoples thoughts?

Whooh!! Got the buggers off!! Looking into the holes in the top of the seat there is a release on both spindles. The release is just under the cover, about 10mm out from the spindles. Know wonder they're hard to get off.
