  1. Looks like the twins are aimed upwards and the pipes going over instead of underneath like most other people do it.
  2. Nice, the connectors look pretty good too. Are you just crimping or soldering as well? I can't quite tell from the pics and it'd be a shame for vibration to loosen them up.
  3. I'm still trying to find a 6 speed box at a reasonable price. I'm not going to get raped for one.... Once I have that it'll be fairly quick as I have all the parts already (except clutch)
  4. Sprayed or powdercoated?
  5. Cheers, I'll drop them a mail. How do you like the Ti?
  6. Very nice, did you weight them to compare to Std?

Click on the link in my signature for the gt35r build and go to the last page. Some pics of mine.
  8. Sweeeet mother of................... how the hell do I sleep now when my heart won't slow down....
  9. That's really interesting. You forget about all the small things when reading threads like this. Thanks for the info
  10. Will that still be street legal?
  11. I wish I'd left the side mirrors out for the pics but forgot. Only just noticed. The only downside to the TS rear spoiler is you lose the centre high level brake light and I really liked it!
  12. Thanks Always nice to get compliments from someone with a great looking car. I think I may be the first in the UK with this rear spoiler and I'm very happy with it. It looks great in real life, especially from behind! It's also lighter which is always nice.
  13. That's exactly what I need. I guess it'd add a bit of length to the exhaust though. How thick was it? Looks to be about 2" ? Did you need to adjust the exhaust mounts?
  14. Avoid the HKS airfilter as the test result show the filtration isn't great. Apexi do a pretty good one. Blitz isn't too bad, and the K&N has been used with good results.
  15. Doesn't make much difference to be honest. They're just pipes. You'll just pay more for the brand names. As long as you have no cats restricing the flow the name means nothing. You get the odd pipe with mountings for sensors etc but those are easily added later.

    Hey all

I'd also spray the grills in the bonnet black.....
  17. Ouch! Not a nice thing to see............ I think that looks faster than tyres alone could have prevented.....

    Hey all

Welcome Great looking car but agree with losing the spoiler. Take your time though when deciding. The TRD looks good from some angles but not great from others. I loved it when I first got my car but now hate it and am so glad I didn't waste my money. Rule of thumb with Supra parts: Take your time! 1st mod on my list would be: Decat!

    Just saying hello

Importing is straight forward enough if you get someone to do it for you, and I'd highly recommend that. Doing it yourself will end in tears unless you have connections overseas (or can speak/read/write Japanese) I had a company do mine. They sourced the car, got it at auction, shipped it, converted to UK spec (MPH conversion & fog lights etc) and registered it all for me. All I had to do was provide insurance details to the company, pay for it, and pick it up (after a 3 month shipping and conversion wait). If you do decide to go UK spec then you'll get bigger injectors and brakes, and steel turbo internals as opposed to ceramic jap ones. Search on here for all the differences like quicker spool on ceramic but lower boost limit (from ceramic and injector limits). If you plan to go single then none of that makes much of a difference, but if you plan to stay with the stock twins, then UK is slightly better in the long run as they handle more abuse being steel and all.
  20. Eagle F1s all the way for me........ then Michelins 2nd choice.
  21. Lose both cats when you do the cat back. You'll be amazed. Best 1st mod in my opinion!

    Just saying hello

Jap imports are pretty much the norm. Have a chat with Jurgen. He does great quality imports. Paul at Whifbitz may be able to point you in the right direction too. I had the same concern but my car was mint when it arrived from Japan. Welcome and good luck! VVTI's are more tricky when it comes to mods, but Jap and UK are much of a muchness....
