  1. Cheers for that, I'll have a look.
  2. Thanks guys. I'll have a look. I've only just got the car from the wife's mum, so haven't even taken a proper look under the hood yet. I also need to go through the receipts and see what has been done in the past.
  3. I guess time will tell. I'll be ordering my Center-farce today and will keep everyone updated with my experiences. Hopefully all good ones
  4. Very good price. I still reckon I'll try the centerforce....
  5. Hmmm, mine is intermittent and fairly annoying. Might try fix it myself by buying a few bits and replacing them.
  6. Not sure, it's somewhere in my shed. Must look for it. Why don't you just bore it out slightly and see what difference it makes?
  7. Haha Anything useful from anyone
  8. I may have a 1.2 bar RR I bought from Chris Wilson in the shed. Will check.
  9. I have a 2nd car, a '99 Corsa 1.2 16V as a little run around to teach my wife to drive. Problem 1 The ECU light came on once or twice under load and I could hear detonating. The mechaninc replaced the, and I quote, "Air Mass". Nice. That solved the ECU light and det. Problem 2 Hunt Idling. Intermittent issue, when stationery the car goes from 800'ish up to 2000rpm and back down repetitively. I told the mechanic about it on the first meeting, but he seems to not remember this and is now saying it's a new issue. I had a look through the car history (it was my wifes mums car since new and all receipts from the same garage have been kept). He's now replaced the "Mass Air" twice and apparently changed the "Idle Control Valve" before as well, but swears hand on heart that this car has never had idling issues?? hmmmmmmmmm.... I told him that when I'm gearing down and slowing on approach to a traffic light the car actually still accelerates due to the revs going up. He said this is normal. I know it's not. Any clues on how to troubleshoot hunt idling would be a great help so I can sort this out without ever having to speak to this man again. Cheers Mark
  10. Yup, Just called TDI, they're getting back to me.
  11. My email: "Your website states $525 per clutch. Why the $75 jump?" The response: "Sorry that needed to be updated. I just updated it. I looked again and I can do $590 but that is the lowest."
  12. It's not so much the hurry as the uncertainty of ordering from someone in a country you don't know that takes 3 days to reply to mails and the customs payment you may or may not have to pay of x amount, combined with unethical traders changing the prices at will and pretty much holding you ransom with a product you really want/need and for some unknown reason only have one supplier in the UK, that are notorious for high prices.... and breathe...... It really annoys me that in this day and age (I sound like my father) we still don't have the choice and freedom you'd expect. Is it obvious that I just watched "V is for Vendetta"?
  13. How irritating is this. 1. The Ebay price has stayed static. 2. Dynamic Turbo went from $607.78 to $680.58 3. Prostreet online stayed the same but no email answer so far How unscrupulous are these traders to put up the price when someone enquires for a sale. I can understand that the prices may have changed since posting the item but then they should be reflected online and not changed when someone enquires. I'm calling the UK dealer tomorrow and finding out about prices, and most likely placing an order. Screw the USA!
  14. What really annoys me is that these were up for $525 yesterday, and he quoted $600 each. I sent an email asking why the price difference and now the website has $590 listed. Still cheaper than what he quoted me after offering to buy three. http://importevolution.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=19&products_id=62 Based on this alone I won't be dealing with him at all. Ever. Period. Rant over...

  17. Not yet. The build is starting on Monday, so no doubt there will be a few pics from then onwards. Just waiting to sort a new clutch and the TRD gearbox mounts from Paul and I'll be away.
