  1. Good work, especially that airbox. Does it use standard bolt holes?
  2. Exactly that.... Mine was a tiptronic until I changed to Manual. Try this: Lift your foot when the gear changes (as if you were changing manually) and then when the gear changes put your foot back down. This used to result in a huge backfire when I did it.... Not so much when I just kept my foot planted.
  3. Great, looking forward to another great write up Tony...
  4. Who are you using to thermocoat it?
  5. I had issues with mine running overly rich and back firing on full BPU. I replaced the HKS SSQ BOV with the stock one and it was fine. No need for an aftermarket one until way past BPU unless you like the poser noise...
  6. I don't want to sell it, I want to use it
  7. I swapped mine for my brembo brake setup with a friend as I had tiptronic back then, and couldn't use this as the tip buttons are on the wheel. Now that I have converted to manual I figured i could you it. My offer still stands.
  8. Quick update, but alas no pics at the moment. They'll come later. The guys doing my single conversion are SPC in Horsham. Great bunch with good skills. http://www.spchorsham.com/ SPC have completed fitting the new fuel pump. Also finished fitting the sandwich plate to the motor for the oil cooler. Busy at the moment making all brackets for cooler. The fittings on the sandwich plate had to be changed as one of them was too small.
  9. Not sure. I've just got a flip key delivered but we'll see if it's the same once I get my keys back from the garage...
  10. Looking forward to the results of this
  11. I'll be sure to get a quote first.
  12. Tlicense has a great guide on here. Search for it in technical
  13. No, standard internals. Only thing I'm changing engine wise is the vvti inlet cam (and lighter pulleys). I'm not pushing my car to the limit on such a small turbo. I want a car that performs well on the street. The top HP figure isn't as important to me as much as the way it actually drives. Obviously I'd like a decent figure but I'd be happy with 550bhp. I also want a car that will be reliable and last longer than 5 minutes It's a '98 low mileage engine that has been really well looked after so I think I can achieve that.
  14. I'll have some figures on the GT35R soon as mine is busy being built at the moment, however I have VVTI so that'll make it a little different...
  15. I'm pretty much leaving it to the "mechanic" now. He was trying to sell me a load of bull about gearboxes sensing your speed and adjusting your throttle for you... on an 11 year old 1.2 corsa... I think not...
  16. .....or the quickest to fail if we don't get another
  17. Already replaced the crank sensor... Hmmm, might try the cam sensor. Thanks.
