Holy cow!! Welcome

It is a bit of a trek to get there but well worth it. Are you staying at the base of the mountain or in the town? Town is a trek as there is a bus, and the nightlife is pretty dire, but the slopes and snow are awesome!! I've been to Whistler twice before, so this'll be my 5th and 6th week there. I love it. One of my favourite resorts as it has the best of all worlds. Short transfer, great nightlife, great slopes, friendly people, good accommodation. A really good all rounder.

I've booked up in January for 2 weeks at Whistler! Can't wait. If anyone wants some excellent condition 2nd hand board/bindings clothing etc, to learn with, I'm getting rid of a few of my extras as I have too many. Drop me a PM

Not sure yet Dan. I'm getting a little frustrated to be honest. I called Wayne yesterday and he's still investigating the alternator issue. The only things they touched that were directly power related were the alternator pulley and the battery (as he wired a few bits in and neatened up the fuse area). Anyone have a spare alternator for a VVTI? Are they the same on VVTI as normal jap spec?

Does size really not matter

A twin exhaust will make it a lot quieter. My mate has twin Blitz Nur Spec R's on his 2JZ-GTE powered truck and it made the volume go down a whole lot. Good for track days

I set mine up after loads of trial and error. When I had mine that high I could hear the detonation, and feel it as well, so that's not good. Lean is bad. Here's how I did it: Set it all to 0 first to see what the baseline is. Mine was at about 0.8 with the BC off. Set the gain to 1. Then raise the SET until it's just below 1.2 bar (I used 1.1 to be safe) Then raise the gain 1 at a time making sure you stay below your limit of 1.2. Gain is good for quicker spool but too much results in spikes which is really bad for your engine. I left mine at just below 1.2 as I wanted a small amount of safety and to be honest, I couldn't tell the difference between 1.1 and 1.2 anyway.

I never had mine that high. I was running about 10 on the set and about 6 on the gain. No spikes and nice and smooth.
