1. Sorry bud. They're a bit of a nightmare there!
2. Cheers for the advice. I'll find out in Jan... In the meanwhile, if anyone needs most of the parts on the car, PM me offers and we'll see how it goes.
3. Maybe I should have a "Breaking Party". Advertise all the parts, get payment for them, and then arrange a day when the car is available, and everyone turns up and removes their own part.... kind of like ants on a dead bird Like this: http://www.revostock.com/Stock-Video-Footage/6127/Motorsports-Bare-Metal-Part-1.htm
4. It's the company that damaged the car's insurance. I'm not sure if I'm "allowed" to dispute the settlement amount. The problem is that if I decide to not go down the Supra route again, then the parts aren't any use to me. I don't have anywhere to break it and store, and it'll take months. If I do go down the Supra route again but don't get a facelift or a VVTI then some of the parts won't fit and again I'm stuck with parts I have to sell which takes some time.
5. This is what I received in an email from them... "..... We are prepared to make a settlement offer in the sum of £xxx, less the salvage figure of £13,000. As you are the registered keeper of the vehicle, you will retain the original vehicle to either dispose of to a salvage agent or retain for specialist parts to transfer onto a new vehicle....." Sounds a bit high to me too. What is my legal stance on this? Should I get a few quotes from salvage agents and send the quotes to them and ask for more cash?
6. Me too, but I just can't live with a car that's been repaired. It's a personal pet hate and I also can't be bothered with all the time it will take to repair and respray etc. I'm too busy at work and in my personal life to start messing around with repairs. I'd rather start again.
7. I had also thought about this but then the parts would go somewhere unknown. I figured I'd offer the deal to the club first before exploring this avenue. They have said £13k (not my valuation) which is what I'd like back for it.
8. Car now for sale with the accident damage. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=205973
9. Possibly bud, but I don't really need the headaches right now. I'd rather start again
10. I'm not entirely sure Jamie. I got an offer of a payout today via email and the total payout I got was cash and minus the cost of the car (£13000) for salvage or for transfer to a new vehicle. Does that mean it will be recoded, as they said I was still the registered owner?
11. As some of you are aware, my car was in an accident last month just as it was finished being converted to a 6 speed manual single GT35R turbo. I didn't even get to drive it after the conversion as the garage crashed it on the way to MOT station. There are about 20 miles on most of the parts including the single turbo components, cam and clutch as it was driven down the road during mapping and on the dyno, and that's it! The 6 speed manual was installed just before with new thrust bearings etc. I'm now putting it up for sale as a whole, as I can't face breaking it. If someone doesn't take the whole lot, then I'll be breaking it. I know I'll get more money for the parts etc but the amount of effort and time involved doesn't interest me much. The car had 66000 listed on the clock but the car was imported with 44000km (27340miles) and has done 22000 miles since. So in total 49000 miles. Here's a list of the parts as itemised for the insurance company (minus the labour costs). I have receipts for ALL the parts. I realise this is quite steep but the manual gearbox, VVTI inlet cam, ECU and turbo kit alone are worth over £7.5K and this car can be broken to make more than that. The car also has OEM skirt/spats which aren't listed above. I obviously can't charge for the labour and love that has gone into this car and have recently spent a whole chunk of cash on the single build which I'll never get back. If you look on my build thread you can see all the effort that went into this, as well as some before pics here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=155492&page=6 Here are a few pics after the accident as well as a few videos of the mapping: pA5f-Rsw64Q cvHhzWRzLHE MUA6JWpcSfc SQn-cpG8JWI yFrjiFLAHY8
12. Nice going dan! Jamie, you're an animal....
13. MarkR

steering wheel

The facelifts have the 3 spoke version and there is a limited carbon fibre version that I stupidly swapped for Brembo brakes. Should have held on to the wheel...
14. That's really cool. Well done bud. One small little gripe... the red pipes at the front from the rad....
15. That is just beautiful. I even love the wheels. Steering wheel needs to go!
16. Shameless plug.....did I mention I have an HKS VVTI controller (the one you get with the valcon kit) so you can fiddle with the settings, as well as a Tiptronic VVTI factory ECU if you need one. Also a Blitz airfilter exclusively for VVTI Supra's. Private Message me if you're interested.
17. The gearbox won't take more than BPU. If you go single it'll die eventually. 400-450 is about the max I'd put through it and 450 would be the absolute max. Best way to get any Supra extra BHP is to follow the BPU guide (click the BPU in this sentence in blue). Decatting a VVTI makes a huge difference. Engine management on a VVTI Tiptronic is tricky. The best thing to do is get a piggyback ECU (HKS FCON Vpro or something similar) as the VVTI and tiptronic stuff is difficult to do on a standalone ECU. Trust me, I know....! Does this mean you have an engine from a Tiptronic but a standard auto box? Are you running the tiptronic ECU or the 93 ECU (big difference). FCD Doesn't increase the boost, it only stops fuel cut. Welcome
18. Ouside diametre of the flange = 9.5cm Inside diametre of the pipe = 7cm I took 2 pics but my camera was inside so iphone quality will have to do. Apologies for the poor quality.
19. After slagging off the red, I think I've changed my mind and agree with you. The black loses the effect.... I'm not a fan of flip paint though. Metalllic is one thing, but flip is just naff.. Mate, do whatever you fancy It's your car and you have to live with it.
20. Please don't do it Jurgen. I do like the rear spoiler on that one in the pic though...
