  2. I asked the same questions, and i wouldn't have posted except it came from a mate in the force and i saw it on another forum when i searched google to check if it was legit, so i figured i'd rather warn people and have egg on my face later than let people get fined... I'll be checking tonight too....
  3. 18 Jan 2007 Received this via email and it's from a very reliable source (traffic police force) Be aware. Cut and paste from original email. "have it on good authority from enquiries made by staff at MWH that there are now small undetectable specs cameras (average speed detection cameras) sited in both the north and south bore of the Blackwall tunnel. Apparently they are going live today. The speed limit for the tunnels are 30mph northbound and 40mph southbound. It would appear that Marlowe house have no knowledge of this and state it is TFL that have implemented it. Any offences for speeding through the tunnel would be raising funds of £100 per offence or £50 if paid promptly. They have not installed signs warning drivers of this speed trap and therefore would not be looking to hit drivers with a licence endorsement, just take the money from you. "
  4. I was looking at these http://news.hspn.com/articles/936/1/New-Paddle-Shifter-For-Any-Automatic/Page1.html and these http://www.twistmachine.com/products/ yesterday but they seem to have an entirely standalone unit to control the gearbox. Might buy the kit and modify it...
  5. I was thinking... Does anyone know of any after market paddles available? Either that, or i might try get some carbon fibre ones made to link to the existing wiring and have custom F1 paddles

  7. Thanks Jake Do you know to get the standard wheel off without setting off the airbag? Has Emin done it before? Cheers Mark
  8. Hi all I've just bought a Carbon Fibre Supra steering wheel off ebay, and while everything looks great and should fit, i somehow /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif managed to forget that my tiptronic controls were on the current wheel. Has anyone tried to remove these or fitted another kind of switch to a supra, or even transplanted the existing controls? Cheers Mark
  9. Does anyone know if this version can be password protected? I'm hoping it's not. Is there a way to unlock it if it is?
  10. TDI fitted my boost controller, so i might take it back there to get mapped... it's only 10 minutes from the office
  11. Hi all Does anyone know the difference between the HKS F-CON V ECU and the HKS F-CON V Pro? I bought a HKS F-CON V ECU off ebay and was wondering if i'd made a good choice. Cheers Mark

  16. Hi all I'm looking to replace the baddddd jap spec brakes with UK spec ones if i can get them at a reasonable price. Anyone out there planning a big brake kit soon? Cheers
  17. Still got it? Do you have the link to the group buy?
  18. Hi Mate Are these still for sale? Cheers Mark
  19. Hi guys Here's an update: I've booked my car in this weekend to have this checked out, cos when my BC is set to manual and "set=1" "gain=1" I'm hitting 1.55 bar at half throttle... i'm too scared to drive fast I leave the boost controller on to take advantage of the limiter function which i've set to 1.2bar and a reduction of 40% I want the garage to take the boost controller out of the equation and plumb it all back to standard and then do a boost reading to see if it's the Boost controller or something else. Any other ideas? Cheers
  20. Cheers Alex I still have my front cat though. Should i still look at a restrictor ring? I've read about putting in stronger springs (not sure where but i think on the wastegate) to keep the boost down. Any ideas on this? I might try some sound deadening material first before moving the solenoid pack (i have some dynamat lying around somewhere). Cheers Mark
  21. Hello everyone I posted some pics last night although i took them with my mobile, so they're not the best. I have also updated my spec sheet.... Has anyone read my post in the technical section yet? I need a bit of guidance please... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=88458&goto=newpost
  22. Well, i had it fitted by a reputable company, but they hadn't fitted the Blitz SBC-ID before, and when i read through the manual, they had set it to auto with boost at 1.1 and a gain of 60(!!!) After reading the manual and adjusting the settings myself, i've now tried it on: CH1 set 10 gain 5 CH2 set 20 gain 10 Not sure if it's making a difference as the roads have been pretty busy and i haven't been able to open her up yet. The clicking noise is still there. I found a few articles on other forums for supras and other vehicles and a few people have had similar clicking issues. I was wondering if it was normal or if the solenoid needs replacing.
  23. Hey everyone Has anyone else got this Boost Controller? I had mine fitted yesterday and the clicking noise from it is unbelievable I'm also not sure that the boost controller is working, as i still get 1.27 bar when i set it to "off" except minus the clicking. Any ideas? Cheers.....
