  2. Hi guys I've just had my Rad cap fall to pieces resulting in my car overheating, so I was wondering... What other parts are recommended to be replaced after 9-10 years if they're still the originals? Anyone else had anything break due to age?
  3. I'm still twisting in the breeze......
  4. Sounds good. Any further development?
  5. Anyone done any measuring?
  6. Thank you (only just noticed the reply) I took em off anyway...
  7. Cheers Nic.. will have to look tomorrow
  8. Forgot to say thanks Nic
  9. Got mine, but haven't fitted yet. Does the supra have 2 as standard? I haven't looked yet....
  10. Basically, when you fit spark plugs you need to set the gap between the electrodes, which varies from car to car. I seem to remember seeing an article on here with how much the gap should be depending on what BPU level your car is at. Also, if he's said the pipes "might" be cracked, i'd put money on the fact that he has cracked one and not told you (or not noticed). Get yourself some nice new tubing and make it pretty
  11. He might have messed a vacuum pipe when he did the master cylinder cos it's in the right area... check all the pipes near there...
  12. What braided hoses did you fit? Are they engine bits or for the brakes? He might have taken some piping off and not put it back on properly, so maybe a boost pipe leaking somewhere? Could incorrect gapping on plugs do this? If he took the wheels off to bleed the brake fluid, he might have tightened them incorrectly and they might not be perfectly centered which would cause the shaking. Jack up the car, loosen the bolts, and then tighten them again in a sequence (see http://autorepair.about.com/library/illustrations/bl873a-lib.htm) do them a little at a time as in the pic and make sure the nuts go into the holes nice and centered. Good luck dude...
  13. Hi Mine does the same thing, but only after it gets hot. If i drive for more than a few hours, the siren stops working, and then comes back online after a few hours/next day. I think it's too close to the turbos. Been doing this for about a year

    Servicing

Hi all I want to service my car, and was wondering what needs doing. I usually do the oil, plugs, oil filter and clean the Blitz airfilter. The gearbox was overhauled about 5000 miles ago, so i assume that the oil in there is fine. Any ideas if there's a thread covering this, and what parts etc to use? PS: where is the fuel filter and how tricky is it to change? Cheers Mark
  15. how much does it weight? maybe I can save 2grams of weight by removing it
  16. Hi guys. He's decided to keep them a little while longer as he wants them in for the JAE show. Might be a good idea to check em out while you're there. Sorry to mess you around
  17. I don't have access to 16" wheels, but maybe somone who has 16's on could measure the distance 12.5 cm's from the centre of the hub from the disk to the spokes?
  18. I have no idea who polished them.. He had them done in Essex somewhere near to where he lives. The guy took aaaaaaaaages to finish. Honestly, so hard to get good help these days.
