  3. Hi Pete... no probs I don't have a boost guage but use the display on the SBC ID (the blitz boost controller) which is quite nice as it does a graph, so you can see your boost levels for the last few minutes. I think I will decat the front then. Chris, expect a PM
  4. Thanks for the info Chris. I'll read it in the morning when my eyes are semi open I'll also PM you about the decat. I've still got the stock ECU installed, and I've already fitted a FCD (the Thor TRL VFCC). I never ever installed the FCON V as it had the old 3 plug harness and not the 5 plug jobbie that the newer ones had.

  6. Thanks Chris. Very useful info. So, how much for the decat pipe? Also, while on the subject, where do you plumb in the sensor for the EGT? If it's in the Decat pipe, do you get pipes with a holder for the sensor already built in? Any hints for the cam?
  7. So.... 256 or 264 exhaust cam? I've got an HKS FCON V but it's not a pro. Will it suffice or should I get rid of it and get something else? I bought it from Jezzy accidently a while back thinking it was the FCON V PRO... ooooops

  9. Thanks Alex I see... does water/alcohol injection etc help with that? I seem to remember reading something about it. Is it expensive? aaaaaaaaaand I seem to remember several people telling me off for my number plate. Maybe I should make the plate outta mesh, or just drill holes in it

  12. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks Alex. Just driven back from work (yes i know on a sunday), and the ride was so lumpy. It's been really weird since yesterday. The boost has been all over the place, with the power seeming to surge in waves when I put my foot flat. Think heat could damage the solenoid? It's only about 8 months old.
  13. Hmmmmm.... decisions... piggy back or full replacment... I'm so torn. Everytime I add something I'm happy for about 2 weeks, and then the bug bites again. I'm worried that I get a EMU and then decide to go single. I had a drive in a VVTI with a T04z about 2 weeks ago, and it was lurrrrrrvly.

  16. Just looked at the EMU page. Looks good. Anyone know who can supply and set it up for me? I was also wondering: If I get this installed and configured, what happens If I change my boost settings. Does it throw the whole setup out? Sorry for so many questions but I'm still new to the whole ECU/Fuel/Air topic and trying to find my feet.
  17. So basically what you said there was that if I plan to go single or put in 550 up injectors, then I should go standalone, but otherwise a piggyback will do?

  19. Cheers for the info. I have a few questions ( I'm a bit thick sometimes ) I have a rear decat pipe but the one straight after the turbo is still there. Should I remove it? Will I have to pop the old one back in for every MOT? When you say fully ducted, what does that mean? I have the Blitz FMIC which comes with hard pipes, but I've never heard of ducting? What does water/alcohol injection do? Cheers Mark

    Hey Pete It was good.. check out my garage for all my specs. Your car looks well nice. I'm now tempted to do the bonnet scoop. Are your wheels 18's? Mine are 19's and I thought yours looked like mine but just smaller? I was running at about 1.1 bar too, but on std jap turbos. I'd love to see the pics My car was well dirty though cos I did 350 miles yesterday. I was on the way back from an Aston Martin DB9 track day Mine felt almost as quick at lower speed, but you did pull away nicely at high speeds. Good going. Does that R-Fit work well? Where in Kent are you?
