  2. yup, that's the next step. Cheers si..
  3. I knew that'd get a few comments Couldn't resist!
  4. Oi, stop talking to Paul and let him get on with our knobs
  5. Ah, sorry, half read the thread...
  6. I wonder how long it'll take Microsoft to snap that baby up and rebrand it as Microsoft Picture Editor The Daddio!
  7. Boring but smart... Very good demo.
  8. Ouch... £180! Lick one finger on each hand and insert into socket
  9. I know what you mean. You should see the job the professionals have done with my: Gearbox/bumper (Jemca) Alarm (Advanced alarm somthing or another) Boost Controller (TDI) Everything I've ever done myself has been done properly cos I'm a bit of a perfectionist and never gave hassles. Everything I've ever paid for has been overcharged and done badly. There's a lesson here I think.
  10. Hi all, I'm looking for the recirc part for the HKS SSQV. Anyone with a jap spec supra have one left over? It's needed on Supras with MAF sensors (UK & vvti's) to stop the backfire. Mine doesn't have one and didn't come with one. Anyone have one lying around? Cheers
  11. True Thanks Pete. Did you get your Recirc thing for the BOV?
  12. Consider that cheap. I made the fatal mistake of taking mine to TDI.... first and last time. They connected the boost guage to the wrong place so it was reading 1.5 bar with the BC switched off! They took 6 hours at £90/hour and cut a piece of my dash, and also then hot-glue'd the BC to the dash. Anyone with a Blitz SBC-ID will know it has infrared sensors on the side, which i had to clean with a sharp blade to get the glue out of. They also set it to have a set of 50 and a gain of 1... completely wrong. I'm pulling it out this weekend to check if they connected the throttle position sensor wire to the correct place as scramble boost doesn't seem to kick in. Oh, and one of the plastic clips on my dash was broken...
  13. Consider yourself lucky. I took mine to a Jemca for gearbox issues. They had it a week and said the auto box was "supposed to slip gears" like that. Yeah right. A month later it was stuffed. I took it back to another Jemca, and they had it a month. They gave it back to me, and I noticed that they'd fixed the gearbox (28 days and £2200 later) and also smashed my genuine do-luck bumper in the process, to which they offered me £200 towards fixing. I told them to get stuffed and that they had to replace the entire bumper with another genuine one (so I bought 2 from Sumo power - they owe me). It took 8 months and threats of solicitors etc before they finally had the bumper replaced and sprayed. I had to take the bumper off a few weeks ago to get to the engine and noticed that they'd stripped the nuts that are fibreglassed into the bumper, so you need to get into the bumper with pliars (not an easy task) and hold the back to loosen the screws. Nightmare. Take your car to a garage that specialises in supras and get it done right by professionals and not some jumped up tinkertoy mechanic (no offence to tinkertoy mechanics - promise)
  14. Thanks Pete, I was hoping to get a cheap one (well, cheaper than £20) I have the circuit diagram, but making one from scratch seems like a lot of hard work to save £20...
  15. Hi guys. I'm looking for the cable to connect the clifford concept 500 alarm to a pc please. Anyone got one lying around gathering dust? I have the software. If no-one wants to sell, could I borrow one? Cheers Mark
  16. You should have a small piece of clear plastic that sticks to your window. It prevents the double image that reflect off the back and front of the glass... I'm not looking for one though, was just interested to see if you used the plastic... Nice avatar by the way
  17. I once had the spooler stopping because the spool folder was on a drive that was full... check space and move if applicable
  18. Have you tried older versions of the driver, or PS instead of PCL and PCL5 and 6? I hate printers and I hate the spooler service even more. The only thing I hate more than that is users having printer issues on citrix.... nightmare... Thankfully I work in infrastructure, so no dealing with users...
  19. Depends on the service and what other services are running. Sometimes due to memory leaks, sometimes bad drivers can have an impact (particularly the spooler service). What OS is it, and what service is stopping. What does the server do (eg: file&print, app server etc). What are the errors in the evntlog?
