Mine is the same (and a facelift). They should call it a face no-lift... I'm tempted to install a strong spring to force the boot to clear the locking mechanism after release.

Well, I since softened them and found the grip was fine, and am now waiting to see where the wear occurs to see if they are too soft. On another aside, the MPS are higher than the Goodyears (both on 30 profile) and I had to roll the arches to stop them touching over bumps...

I have the Bilstein/Eibach combo. What pressure were you running? Someone recently told me that the michelins need to be run softer, which is why they reckon they were sliding...

I had Goodyear's and they were great. Then I put some Michelin Pilot Sports on, and they slide all over the place compared to the Goodyears.

You have a good point, but they came out of cars that were working up until the accident. This one has most likely been lying in the back of a workshop for a few months probably without any oil in it... Anyhow, not really in the mood to argue with you about it mate, I just feel that it's a bit expensive.

It is expensive considering you don't know the history of it, and it's not rebuilt. You could end up with a box you need to overhaul, plus you need all the other goodies. I'd give him no more than £500 for it.

The blitz intercooler is apparently pretty good (waits to be slated), which is why I bought it. It is pretty large though and I did notice extra lag when I first installed it (mid BPU stages)

I'll have some but not for another 2-3 months (jspec from a facelift 98 model). They're in perfect working order but I want to go single so parts have been ordered and on the way If you're still looking at that time, let me know.
