  1. To be honest I'd just go with 2nd hand parts. You can pick up N/As for peanuts these days so they're getting written off by insurance companies in cases when there's very little damage. Toyota's are well built cars with good quality parts so you can get 2nd hand parts with a hell of a lot of life left it them. Toyota will want an arm and a leg for most new parts.
  2. Indeed, it was either A1FA or ALF4 can't remember exactly which one. Was worth way more than the car anyway..... Surely the person would know it's worth a mint though, it's also parked on a very busy road on the way into Edinburgh so I'd imagine it's been spotted a few times. Going into Edinburgh tommorow so will double check what the plate is.
  3. Only just seen this thread, did you go in January? My Girlfriend got us as room on January 2nd for £10 at Barony Castle. Was excellent, were you there at that time James?
  4. Noticed on the way into Edinburgh the other day an old Alfa Romeo parked in a driveway. It doesn't look like it's moved in at least 3 years as it was covered in moss! But it has the plate A1fa, that must be worth an absolute mint.
  5. Toyota should be able to supply parts for an NA. However I'd recommend Nic (import pimp) on here. He can supply new parts at excellent prices. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=78
  6. Really needing to upgrade my brakes, got JSpecs at the moment. Been looking at the D2 option apparently they're pretty decent but the pads they come with are pretty poor and need ditched. This place has some good prices on them : http://aztecperformance.co.uk/GBd2racingbrakes.aspx Can get them in purple, black or orange.
  7. It's a pretty easy fix if it is out of warrenty. All it takes is 8 screws and some spring mounted washers to replace the xclamp which warps overtime with the heat and doesn't hold it firmly enough against the cpu and graphics card. There guys on ebay who sell the kits with the correctly sized screw and washers for a few quid also comes with a guide on how to do the repair.
  8. No worries Jamie. What did we do before Google?
  9. Actually from this pic, it looks like you need to hold down the Function key (bottom left) and press F11 to switch it on/off: http://images.msiwind.net/albums/userpics/10001/p1010303.jpg
  10. There is probably a swtich somewhere on the case to turn the wireless adapter on. Have a shufty it might be underneath the laptop.
  11. I think this is the same laptop as yours, if it so, is the led second from the left on?
  12. A lot of laptops have a switch on the case to turn the wireless card on and off to save power when not in use. As a first step in falt finding it, make sure it's definitly switched on. There is probably an led which will show it's status.
  13. Thanks for posting that link up Nic I hadn't seen it before and especially thanks to Cheifgroover for the write up, excellent work. I think I'll make this my winter project.

  18. :clap::clap::clap: Looking good Marc!
  19. 'Tis a rare beast an unmolested TT 6 speed. Very nice!!
  20. Here's a link to the driver downloads page for your particular laptop. http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid= You might need to change the operating system dropdown to vista if that's what your laptop is running. I'd try downloading the chipset driver (the intel one) first and try that.
