    hey...

    Welcome fellow Fifer!

    dynamat

Did the boot, rear seats and filled the voids in the rear arches over winter. Definitly made a massive improvement only thing is now I notice the wind noise at the doors and tyre noise from the front Will get them done at some point. Definitly worth doing in my opinion. I used e-dead instead of dynamatt.
  3. And Google streetview is there to capture it all. It's kicking off!
  4. That got your attention Have any of you guys with Single conversions got a VSV for the IACV going spare? Mine has bit the dust http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/images/supra/sequential/EBV_VSV.jpg
  5. Is the front tyre not on wrong the rotation? Very nice Supra though! Good luck with the sale.
  6. Bump. Come on folks help a club member out, no 2nd turbo = no fun

  8. Hope she turns up, it's a horrible feeling when they go missing. Such a lovely little cat, picture 2 is hilarious! From the photos it looks like it's an inquisitive moggy so it's maybe just out exploring.
  9. Never seen that before either, it's pretty funny
  10. This is the guy: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/performance-guru/ Only took 4 days to get here from New Zeland!
  11. Thanks for the comments guys, really blown away by them! I will definitly sort the number plate issue out soon. This car has had a hard life before I got it no doubt about that. I wish I had taken some pictures from when I first got it to show the state it was in. It's been a really good project though, I've learned a hell of a lot. This club is a god send as well. Just for giving the confidence to tackle some of the issues myself. There's some brilliant guides to show you how it's done and you know if there's any questions someone on here will no doubt have the answers. Once I get my BPU boost issue sorted that'll be all the main (expensive) boxes ticked: Braking, performance, looks, and handling. I'll be able to look at sorting out the interior as it's a bit scruffy at the moment and finish the soundproofing. If anyone is interested, work on the car so far has been: Wheels & Tyres Tein Superstreets fitted New intercooler fitted Full colour change respray from Red/Pink/Burgundy Delocked Veilside skirts removed OEM skirts fitted Active spoiler fitted D2 brakes all round Walbro fuel pump fitted Iridium plugs Double de-cat New exhaust New radiator fitted and full coolant flush Timing belt done Boot gas struts replaced Fan shroud fitted Pioneer stereo Alpine speakers all round Clear indicators UK Headlights Premium horn kit After looking at that list it's no wonder I'm skint I will say though despite the bodywork being in a complete state due to a horrific repair job and bits and pieces missing from where the car was hit. The actual mechanical side of the car has been spot on, always runs sweetly and (touch wood) I've never had a real issue with it.
  12. Their automatic number plate blurring's worked well on that one....
  13. I know what you mean but I did have one that size on my MR2 and it cost me a £40 fine and a producer Think I might go for a uk size plate or the size that's the same width as the one you posted but double the height.
  14. Toyota mate, they're not that expensive can't rememeber exactly how much I paid for them but pretty sure it was under £30 all in.
  15. Cheers, paint job is not too bad although because it's been sitting in a dusty damp garage for 6 months it could do with a bit of TLC. I just haven't had the time yet. There's a couple of very small issues but to be honest I did expect that considering the absolute state the bodywork was in when I got it. Also wish I'd gone for a gunmetal colour black is so hard to keep clean and every little knick shows up.
  16. 8's on the front and 6's on the rear although to be honest I doubt it makes a real difference. Thanks for the comments guy, it's certainly getting there. It's moved on a fair bit from the pink accident damaged pile of that it was when I got it 2 1/2 years ago. There's still a lot I'd like to do to it but I'm skint and I want to actually drive it for a bit Should also add that I've fitted a new intercooler whilst it was off the road and added some soundproofing.
  17. Supra is back on the road after 6 months of it sitting in the garage whilst I was working away. It flew through its MOT last week. I've binned the old overused JSpec brakes that were on it and plumped for a set of D2's all round. I'm over the moon with them, they're like night and day compared to the JSpecs. Here's some pics: http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/1.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/2.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/3.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/4.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/5.jpg
  18. Bit of an update on this boosting issue. Went out tonight in the car, 1st run on boost and it got up to 1bar every subsequent run only hit 0.6 bar. It seems like the 2nd turbo isn't kicking in at all! I took a quick video clip of what was happening and I've uploaded it here: Boost Gauge Video Hope no one gets sea sick from watching this! First run is a straight kickdown, 2nd run is just building up to go past 4,000 rpm. The interesting bit is at the end you can see it hitting 0.6 bar then it dips like it always does just as no. 2 is coming on line then goes back up to 0.6 bar again so i'm not sure if no. 2 turbo is coming online.
  19. Keep the stock look with some slight subtle mods: Wheels, clear indicators, facelift lights and active spolier. As hiten55 said, have a look at JamieP's car to see how it's done!
  20. I got the RR from Envy. I'll check the width of it although it's in a bloody awkward area to get without a ramp I was thinking about just getting an EBC to up the boost however I'd like to be sure everything was spot on with the setup before using one.
  21. B***ocks there aren't really any garages up here that have much of a clue about Supras. Thanks again for taking time to post up some good info James.
  22. There's a big difference between cheap tyres and a cheap place to buy tyres which is what the origional poster was after. I'd recommend: http://www.mytyres.co.uk They were definitly the cheapest when I was looking for a set of F1s.
  23. Thanks for the info James, I really hope it's not the turbos that are knackered although from what I can tell they still sound the same and there's still a decent kick when No2 comes online. Can most garages do a leak test for you or does it have to be done at a specialsts (not many up here in Scotland)? Just out of interest how is a leak test carried out on a Supra?
