  1. Sorry to hear this mate, at least as you say you can get a stock bumper on. I'd go for an active spoiler while i was at it
  2. Cheers! Would rather not say, will leave it up the buyer to post it up.
  3. It is sold, to a member on here who seems like a good guy.
  4. He's not done anything majorly wrong, just thinks he's a bit of a wheeler dealer so trys to talk his way into getting the stupid offers he puts in accepted. In doing it he tries to talk down other guys he thinks are going for the same motor. I just don't like the cut of his jib. I'm very much a treat people as you'd like to be treated yourself person. Where as he'll do anything to make a few quid.
  5. There's a bit of smoke at startup caused by the valve stems for about 1-2 seconds when the car hasn't been used in a few days. Certianly not uncommon for a car of this age and BPU'd as there's no cats in. There's plenty of posts on here from guys like Chris Wilson on the subject, who I'd trust a hell of a lot more than our resident Del Boy. What's happened here is that he's though you'd got the car sent you a few PMs to try and get you worried enough to back out of the deal. He's chancing his arm at picking up the car for 4k and sent a heap of PMs talking the talk to get the car. Having sly digs at guys like Gaz1, Homer and even yourself. I've got half a mind to post up the PMs on here. To quote Alex Ferguson "I wouldn't sell the guy a virus"
  6. Sorry not gone to Greg. Don't know why Wilko said it has.....
  7. Hi Greg, PM'd you back but just so the thread is up to date: Scrape and keyed areas have been sorted are a now unoticeable. Done in the same colour I've got the paint code (not on me at the moment as I'm at work) Boost issue sorted, just a fault VSV. Like most BPU'd Supras there's a slight bit of smoking at startup when the car hasn't been used in a while but only for a second or two. I've uploaded engine bay, interior pics and the area of bodywork I'm not happy with. They're not the best quality as taken on the camera phone last night. The wheel arch problem is the paint coming off due to stone chips and when I was putting the arch liners on. It's all on the inside of the arch so should be pretty easy to fix DIY.
  8. Cheeers, it is and it isn't cheap. Because of the history of the car it'll never fetch top dollar but I think considering the work and parts that have been put into it I think it's a fair asking price. It's certianly a lot of car for the money.
  9. It wasn't an engine out respray but got them to do as much as possible with it in place so it's mostly black but you can still spot the red if you look hard enough
  10. It's not a cat d, it wasn't claimed through insurance. When I bought the car the damage had been repaired but I wasn't happy with the some of the work hence which is why I went for a fully respray and got it up on the jig to make sure everything was straight. I'm working away at the moment but get back on Wednesday night I'll get engine and interior pics then.
  11. SOLD I’m reluctantly selling my JSpec TT BPU auto – L Reg 80,500 miles. Before I get into the full details about the car I think it’s best to mention at the start that the car has been involved in an accident which resulted in damage to the front and rear wing. I bought the car 2 and a half years ago as a project to fix it up and return it to it’s former glory. In that time I’ve spent a lot of time and money on it and honestly think this will be a great purchase for someone as it’s now in better condition than a vast majority of Supra’s on the road today. This is a list of parts and work carried out on the car since purchasing it: Engine: New o2 sensor Irridium plugs New radiator Miami-GT sidemounted intercooler Manual boost valve Greddy boost gauge Stock airbox fitted New fuel filter Double decat Brand new XS-Power exhaust fitted a year ago Regular services carried Walbro fuel pump Timing belt recently done Wheels / Suspension / Brakes: Brand new Tein Superstreets fitted height and rebound adjustable Stunning 19” Dare Hiro’s with polished deep dish rim Goodyear eagle f1 tyres all round Brand new D2 big brake conversion front and rear, only 3 months old. 8 pot front callipers 6 pot rears. 356 mm disks Braded lines all round Exterior: Full respray from Red to Audi Brilliant Black OEM skirts Vielside rear spats Facelift front indicators “Facelift style” front lights with Angel Eyes conversion Active spoiler with manual overide Interior / Misc: Brand new pioneer Bluetooth stereo plays MP3s & WMA’s Alpine speakers all round Sound-deadning in the rear arches, under the rear seats and half of the boot (I ran out, it’s amazing how much of the stuff you need!) Premium horn upgrade Nardi torino steering wheel Boot gas struts replaced Boot rubbers replaced Toad alarm and immobilser. Working aerial(!!!) MOT'd til April 2010 Taxed until October 2009 Bad points: Interior's looking a bit shabby could definitly do with the black dye carpet treatment and dash refurb. The interior was next on my list but never got round to it. There's a couple of small isues with the bodywork but nothing major. As you can see from the work carried out over the last 2 and a bit years all the major items have been addressed – Engine, cooling, braking, suspension and bodywork which is why I feel this car will be an excellent purchase for someone. Obviously the car has had a bit of history but these items have now been addressed. The car has done 80,500 miles and I’ve got the boost set at 1 bar. It pulls like an absolute train you can tell the engine is in excellent condition. I’ll be sad to see her go but needs must, looking for £5,000. Will get an engine bay and interior picture taken soon. http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/1.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/16.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/supra/lighthouse/SDC10346.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/supra/lighthouse/SDC10354.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/supra/lighthouse/SDC10365.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Brakes/3.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/10.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/11.jpg
  12. Lets hope it is a one off Good luck with the sale and with the move Rich!
  13. 4k bloody hell! I was considering whether to put mine up for sale sometime soon but with prices like that there's no point. That is a steal for someone.
  14. Yeah I was wondering that too, looks like David Coultard's jaw Cracking looking motor though!
  15. It's terrible up here at the moment. I'm lucky to have a few companies I've worked for in the past that are doing ok and throwing a bit of work my way. A quick scour round Jobserve and the like show how bad it is, hardly any contracts going at the moment and the ones that are out there are for extremly low rates. I'd look at sitting tight at the moment.
  16. Ouch! Hope he's back on his feet in-time for his busy day on December 24th
  17. I would say IACV VSV had exactly the same issue on mine, it does still feel like there's a "kick" at 4,000 rpm because the boost drops down slightly then back up but then you can feel that's there's no real guts to it in the higher revs. Here's my thread on the problem (2nd page is where it's at) http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=182441 have a look especially at my shakey boost gaugue video it shows the dip at 4,000 rpm then back to the same pressure. If it's not that then worth having a look at what sort of state your intercooler is in. Hopefully it is the IACV VSV as it's a relativly cheap fix I got one 2nd hand on here but even a new one from Toyota was around £70.
  18. Can't go wrong with a set of Hiro's on a Supra Looks good!
  19. They are way way overpriced, I've got Hiro's on mine pretty sure they were about £1,000 when I got them. Some pics here: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=190657
  20. White JSpec spotted in Aviemore today parked on the main strip. Pretty much stock except the exhaust.
  21. I also had a bit of a snigger but you'd be raging if it was your car. Like PB says surely someone must have heard something. Would have taken a few of them aswell. Handy though if the owner needs to do any exhaust or welding work....
  22. Do you have a penchant for horrible spoilers? 2nd car looks a lot better than the first.
