  1. Gord, it was a faulty Injector only! It's amazing how a relatively small component can have you bringing the lube to meetings with the Bank Manager! Still, that didn't stop me ordering a Greddy Intake Manifold at Turbofit yesterday! As for the wheels and tires... I was initially looking for around 700 quid but I'm very flexible on the price... even more so for a quick sale! I was tempted to keep the wheels and put drag tires on them but I could really do with the cash! They fit over the UK Spec brakes with ease and are in very good condition. As far as the price goes, it's the same story with the HKS F-Con V Pro ECU, which comes with all the necessary wiring/harness plus the original Supra ECU! I can't remember what tires are on the wheels at the moment (unless you can Gord??!!) but it could be a pair of Yokos and a pair of Falkens... I'll have to check later... but both sets are in great condition with lots of tread! As for the added spec Gord... here's what Turbofit have done/are doing for me: Engine rebuild using Arias Pistons/Rods/etc CLEANED AND FLOW TESTED HKS 850cc Injectors! Greddy Intake Manifold Dual Feed Fuel Rail 2xWalbro Fuel Pumps in original location (less noisey!) Battery back in original location (moved from boot for more storage - dump valve re-located to allow room under the hood) AEM ECU, Wideband and DLI with anti-lag, launch control, etc Supra Electric Leather Seats and Momo Millenium Steering Wheel 2 ECU Maps... 1.6 ish bar for road use and 2.0 bar for use with race fuel probably. Rev Limit 8500rpm. So, any guesses on the power figures I'll be looking at...??!!
  2. Well, Having the head removed has revealed the damage and the cause... Piston No.5 melted due to injector running at around 5-10%!!! Otherwise, engine is in excellent nick... hope that makes the bill easier to swallow...
  3. I have a barely used HKS F-Con V Pro ECU and a set of wheels/tires for sale which would help me finance my rebuild! Incidently, my car was running on the AEM when it blew and the wheels/tires for sale are the ones in the pics on my profile! They're 17"s with with 245/215 35/40 rubber with loads of tread left. I'm looking for £700 for the ecu and the same for the wheels/tires(SSR lightweight alloys). Cheers guys!
  4. I was contemplating an engine rebuild to get the best from the T88 but decided to hold off for a while... my pistons had other ideas! Happened on the dino... she had just put out 700 horses at the fly, was on a lower boost setting when she spat oil all over the windscreen and started making funny (not really!) noises... a cracked piston believed to be the problem! Still, better it happened there rather than the pod! Getting uprated pistons, conrods, etc shipped in from the states and rebuilt at Turbofit so it should be ready by the end of the month hopefully! Then we'll see what she can really do... So, photos by the end of Oct!
  5. Hi Guys, It's taken a while to make a post on this thread... purely because I forgot all about it! It wasn't till me ol' mucker Tucky40 mentioned it that I thought I'd better post a reply to all your messages! Suprastar3000... YES SIR! I am a useless fat body! BobbeH... Yeah, a T88 has alot of potential! Standard internals might restrict me at the mo, but who knows what the future holds... a bit of advice to all... buy shares in turbofit! Kevin at Envy... As soon as the Supra returns, I'll be taking some new photos for sure! Those Racing Harts are just naughty! GordR... it was a pleasure taking the Supra off you! I've developed a rather unhealthy attraction to it though... In fact it's no different to a woman... she's bleeding me dry... and I love it! CJ... good to meet you too my friend from the vallley! No doubt we'll bump into each other in the near future! MikeyB10 Supra... we''ll have to catch up in Essex once I get my bitch back home! And to everyone... look forward to catching up with all those heading over to Japshow on the 7th Oct... Time to see what she's like down the 1/4mile!
  6. Well, I've been told it's worth £750 but I might accept £700 for a quick sale. Just had a look at TDI's website and they're asking for £845 plus £295 for the wiring loom.
  7. Hi Jamie! Yep, she's there getting a few bits bolted on! I hear you're getting that engine re-build after all!? How'd you negotiate that one with the missus...??? I should get her back in time for the Japshow... will you be heading down? Know anyone in the market for an ECU? Dan
  8. Hi guys, I will have an HKS F-Con V Pro Gold for sale from Thurs 5th Oct. It was mapped at Owen Developments so it has been coded by them... although it is possible to remove the code, Owen are well priced and very experienced at mapping HKS ECU's so it could be worth going back to them for the mapping, but that is entirely up to the new owner! It's being removed from my T88 Supra as I quite fancy an AEM. Feel free to make me an offer although I've been told what to expect so sensible offers only please. Cheers, Dan
  9. Hi guys, Although I've been a member for some months now, I've only recently taken the plunge and bought my first Supra! It's a T88 Single Turbo and with some tweaking here and there should be kicking out over 600 ponies very soon... No doubt I'll be picking your brains at some point soon so watch out! Regards to all, Dan
