  1. You need to get some aircon cleaner stuff from somwhere like halfords. You set it off with the aircon on. Cleans it and stops the smells.
  2. I like the colour though! lol. I was gonna say maybe he's got some weird v-mount setup going on... but it just looks wrong!
  3. Is there a difference?
  4. Here's where my catches sit mate... http://file040a.bebo.com/15/large/2008/08/23/20/2411662225a8718293694l.jpg
  5. Looking for a black bootlid/tailgate. Must be in good condition. cheers.
  6. Curious if anyone here is running a wasted spark setup? I was looking into it on my old skyline due to the stock coil packs being duff. I know one person on here is as I've been pm'ing him. Just curious if anyone else is, or there thoughts on it?
  7. I get this sort of noise now and again... I just ignore it. lol At least I know what it could possibly be.
  8. Is it possible to test the coilpacks somehow? I'm suffering a miss/hesitation. I know it's not the clips or plugs as both have been changed. If it is possible, I could possibly replace the ones needing changed just now instead of all 6. thanks in advance
  9. if you need any pics of them installed, let me know.
  10. I've heard the 6spd can be quite a clunky box.
  11. I have aerocatch pins mate and they are a pain!! You need to obviosly bolt the pegs in somewhere, then get the catched exactly in the right place. Also they have to be at a decent angle or they won't close. You also have to cut away a big hole underneath so you can secure all the nuts to the bottom of the catches. Not that easy to do if you're not sure, and I can see how you could easily screw it up.
  12. My car makes a noise when cold too. ALthough I think it's more to do with rain getting in the engine bay due to the chargespeed bonnet. Sounds more like a belt or something I think. Soon goes away after engine is upto normal op temps.
  13. If I hadn't gone to all the hassle of fitting my chargespeed, I'd probably have it.
  14. Looking for low mileage good working coil packs for a Jspec TT if anyone has a set? cheers
  15. Trying to suss out a missfire issue on high boost without spending £100's on new coilpacks? If anyone would be so kind to let me borrow/test some on the car? Obviously you could mark them up etc so you would know I send the correct ones back! I'm not trying to scam anyone here... just trying to sort out a little annoying issue. cheers, Jim
  16. Lean burn? What exactly is this and how would it be caused? I assume simply by the car running lean? Surely it shouldn't be the case with the walbro etc?
  17. No mate, no AFR or EGT gauge. Only boost gauge. Why do you ask? Yeah, I've got these plugs BCPR7ES. So the coilpacks then?? God damn. lol. Is there anyway to actually test them? Like I said, I don't want to buy all 6 if only 1 or two are dead.
  18. Running a Jspec Supra BPU with UK Turbos (if it makes a difference). Also recently noticed the first cat is still in place (the one right at the turbos). Apart from that, running: Blitz Nur Spec mid cat removed walbro pump FCD Greddy Profec B Spec II I had a missfire issue on high boost 1.15bar so I changed the plugs to some NGK copper plugs gapped to 0.7mm. This didn't resolve the missfire issue. I then replaced all the coilpack connectors. All good... it seemed to sort the problem out. The plugs were changed about 350miles ago, clips 300miles ago. The missfire really only happens on high boost at full WOT, about 5 to 6K rpm. It feels like a VERY rapid hesitation as if it's struggling to accelerate. The car seems fine on low boost 0.8bar. Only noticed it hesitate once. So... what now? Surely the plugs can't be duff as they aren't old. The clips have been changed already. Should I go with the more xpensive irridium plugs? People on here said the plugs I went for should have been fine etc. The point I'm getting to is that I don't want to spend shedloads on new coilpacks if they're not needed. Also, is there anyway to test the coilpacks as for all I know if this is the problem, it could only be one that's duff? How long do coilpacks generally last for? thanks
  19. WHat sort of spec you looking for and what price range?
  20. I will do mate, won't be until the end of the month though.
  21. No reason to say too late. As long as the car has been regularly maintained etc, should be in decent condition.
