Nice, you have to be prepared for some insane fuel consumption with a big V8 my Vettes computer used to show 1mpg when on full chat !! My Camaro was a bit better, both sounded awesome

Perhaps I am coming across as a negative member, I guess that is in part true, I have chucked £1000's away chasing bhp trying to be being one of the fastest, truth is you are chasing a never ending goal and a very very expensive one. Hi mate, if that was directed at me then I will respond, I have nothing against your dream, in fact I admire your ambition, I do feel that you are lacking experience in building fast cars however and I thought it was my duty to inform you of the pitfalls and costs, you will need more, much more than 200 a week to cover a 9 sec car even if 200 pound a week builds one in my lifetime from a Supra base you will need to thing about maintenance, anyway once you get 9 secs you will soon want 8's etc etc lol

Have you considered you have 200 pounds spare BECAUSE you live with mom and dad, having your own house brings others responsibilities you know ?

Without sounding like grandpa, I have owned too many performance cars to know chasing power is always way way way more expensive than you think, I only spend now what I can afford without any effect on the rest of my life, you have to keep it real especially when you have a new house to buy, now where is that single kit again lol

Because he is 23 and talks about money like he lives with his parents, building a big power car will be a big negative on him and his relationship if they are looking for a house I have a tidy job but I still set targets and budgets that keep it a hobby not an obsession

Waste of money chasing drag times especially a 9 sec run, buy a nice bpu and enjoy the car for what it is, you don't earn enough to build and maintain a 9 sec car and enjoy it on the street as well
