  1. All coming together now, should be 600bhp plus by the end of August
  2. I have done what you are suggesting several times and with hindsight I would have done it differently, I would never take a loan to pay for upgrades, save up and buy outright, it's interesting when you actually have a few quid in the bank how this changes your perspective on things as well, make you really question the modification
  3. You can think of me when you are sipping the cocktails in the caribbean ........ Engine will be coming out hopefully for the last time!!
  4. Just added a full set of KAD brakes so will have the full Uk spec brakes coming up for sale, they were totally refurb'd with new discs
  5. Not yet, I do have a stock spolier in the shed in black that might go back on at some point, want to keep the stock look as the power climbs
  6. BPU feels fast when you are on your own, get amongst you lot and I thought the handbrake was on, I will be back soon though Still undecided on the single kit, think the Whifbitz kits look best for me Need an exhaust, injectors as well
  7. Project is going to go to the next level now, just purchased a full SRD fuel kit including hanger, pumps, lines, FPR, filter and lines, RPS 3 Street clutch and 16 row oil cooler Next on the list is a fast spool single kit and some 800cc injectors (drop ins)
  8. Not that I belong in the thread too much but for those chasing bigger BPU power I had issues on the dyno with my exhaust, it's a whifbitz 2.5" decat, no restrictior ring (that made it worse) 2.5" cat back. Nice and quiet but at 1.2bar we had to stop as it was restricting so much it was getting hot, big bpu needs a free flowing exhaust
  9. 1.2 is the top limit, the 440cc injectors will be maxed out at this level
  10. Look Chris your post said which ECU and stay BPU, you go on to say you ( your dad ) is happy with the times at the pod, so what are your goals, what do you want to achieve ? If you stay with 440 injectors you will be very limited to what you can achieve over a stock ECU BPU, so you need to invest and that's the slippery slope I talk about, I was not trying to be purposely obtuse just be a little grounded so you dont make the mistakes I did in the past !
  11. Stop looking for sub 13 second 1/4's then, simple I have no money tree, I have just been there done it a few too many times :-)
  12. Power is a drug, the meets make it worse, BPU is adequate but who wants to be adequate
  13. Trouble with mines ECU is it controls 440 injectors and you will run lean on high bhp BPU power if not careful
  14. Syvecs, Motec, Fcon, apexi, if you plan big power in the future however makes some sence
  15. Slippery slope Chris, just enjoy the BPU and leave as is unless you want to spend 1000's on upgrades
  16. Why do you want a stand alone ecu if you are on a budget, what's wrong with a BPU car on stock ECU
  17. Well done, first time I had seen it was at the pod at the weekend, breathtaking to look at you should be very proud indeed
  18. What power/torque can the stock clutch take, mine is brand new BTW Could you map to 550 bhp for example
  19. I might be taking my almost new turbos off in a few weeks, they have done 1000 miles since rebuild! Could supply 550 injectors and painted pipe work to go with it, in fact everything on the turbo side was rebuilt or replaced
  20. I need a new Rad cap from my Fluidyne radiator as it is not sealing properly, i can not find a UK stockest can any other brand be fitted to this rad
