I would get some ARP rod bolts and studs fitted At the end of the day Ryan will set the rev limit to the optimum level, thats what I would be looking for

I run the S366 on a stock block, 264 cams and ARP rod bolts and studs, it is on full boost by 4000ish RPM and makes a good 650ish BHP at 1.7 bar, stock limit, DaveR has the same set up but with a aftermarket intake and makes well over 700 BHP You have a built head so raising the limit to 8000 should be fine, up the boost and away you go

I have this turbo, you will not be getting the best from this unit running at 550 bhp (fly), I would also recommend changing to a bigger intercooler The garage whifbitz twin waste gate kit is well respected and Paul at garage whifbitz would be the man to talk through your goals and fit a turbo to suit

It's an old style turbo but they make good power, to get the best from them you need a raised rev limit which means head work and at least rods and rod bolts You will need a good clutch, don't see one on the list I would personally look at a PHR kit or a Garage Whifbitz style kit with a modern turbo, I would also go for bigger injectors You also have a big choice to make on ECU to get the best from this set up As for power, depends what you want the car for, street, track or drag, with a T88 you should make 700 but a fast spooling S366 turbo will feel quicker on the road even though you will be making a bit less BHP

MR2 MK1 (my first Jap dream car) Subaru WRX TVR S2 Skyline R32 GTR 740i BMW E55 AMG merc Corvette Camaro 7 Supras ! I have owned tons of stuff inbetween, its no wonder I have no cash, the list of those I still want is forever growing

Not sure what the small print states on CCI documents as I have not seen them but given the nature of the website I would be concerned about how they would handle a road accident claim

It's just lazy IMO, Sky just like all other insurance companies expect me to ring around and get a better quote I then know all too well they will match it The issues with this is that my car is so modified most make you go through the whole insurance detail process to tell you they can't insure it or they are only willing to quote based on your current requote details IT'S BORING and to be honest is putting me off bothering and putting the car up for sale I have a new business starting in a few months !!

So it appears insuring a supra continues to get harder! Comp insurance is a no go, Lwib use the same company as SKY so will not quote and most majors won't touch the car Sky have quoted but its not great, I have full no claims and am 41 years old, it has to be better than 750 !! Any other suggestions

Given your user name I am taking a guess 1997 is your birth year, making you 15? If you do have the funds to build such a car it is not an ideal first car really, what would the insurance be like, it's worth asking now as I predict it could be a game changer I would think a about something else for a while, at 15 I had other things on my mind !

I had this exact turbo on a 2.7 stroked RB26, made 735 bhp and was quick, you need to run fairly big boost to get the best out of it with an increased rev limit, I ran 1.8 bar It's a very different drive to my other singles, I stuck a TO4Z on the RB26 after and it was a better street car for me as you really had to drive it hard on the T88 to get the power due to lag It was easier on fuel however as you can happily drive off boost with a T88

Ryan's lack of availability is a real concern, stops all minor mods for me which is a big downside for Syvecs IMO Ryan needs to build a bigger well trained team
