  1. Very nice car and could be one of the best buys of the year at £14K IMO Good luck mate
  2. you will not be dissapointed but be prepared he like to do things right (as they should be) and if he finds a problem he is methodical about sorting it, it is fantastic and torture watching your car on the RR, the AEM is great and can give you any electronic control function as I found out yesterday including controlling your cooling fans and even the stereo !! You can has 2 step for effects and NOS control along with boost control and race fuel maps, endless really, have a great day and good luck
  3. wow that figure would indicate 500 BHP at the fly, that is very impressive on stock j spec ?
  4. He had some special leak testing kit and a lot of pumping up each tube and listening for leaks or watching the pressure gauge for a drop, very interesting and gave a break from the torture that is watching you car on a RR
  5. Its an est fly figure, Dan thinks I sould see 600 on Monday (again fly) I have the dyno graph from the last run when things were getting a wee bit hot, I will scan it now and post it up The way he went about fnding the leak was very interesting to watch and when it was found it was quite small but enough to stop the boost climing, I will need to fit a 1 bar wastegate spring also I am told !
  6. Well just got back from a long mapping session, had some issues as always, this time a small and annoying boost leak which took ages to find, it was on the pipe going to the bottom of the wastegate and this stopped us achieving anymore that 1.35bar, got 541BHP at this point, will be going back Monday to repair leak and map to 1.5 or even 1.6 as Dan thinks it can take it, We have not even turned on the NOS yet and that is a 100 shot I have the over run mapped in now and you are more than welcome to come over Tuesday afternoon to the rolling road for a spin
  7. Dont worry mate I am looking after your wheels
  8. I am running 264 cam with HKS Cam Pulley's, cant wait to see the numbers today, this is a stock engine so 550 or just above will be enough, the NOS is progressive just to get the turbo spinning up quicker, I will scan the dyno sheet and post up later this evening, I see you have just sold the turbo I am running and moved on to the T51, good luck with the conversion that should give some impressive numbers
  9. This afternoon Dan will be mapping my car to 1.5 bar, for those of you who know the car and its history (GT Cars creation!) it has been a long and frustrating road, got very close two weeks ago and reached 550 BHP before the fuel pressure became an issue, so with new twin fuel pumps and a shiny new FPR and NOS I am going back and all being well should be ready for Santa Pod next weekend
  10. There are some high net worth individuals in that photo I am sure
  11. I still have my Simpson Bandit from my bike days
  12. Of course it does not improve my driving skills off the line:D but at least I am not as nervous as last time
  13. could have been worse than farm animals I guess !!
  14. If you are talking about the post it note, that was my 6 year old left alone with my PC at the weekend for 20 mins and she was making her own web check list for google
  15. I had a diff that had a very close ratio and gave me good acceleration but at a cost of terminal speed, I was well into 5th gear at the finish and only reaching 105mph, the new diff is close to standard in its ratio and does well over 100 in 4th gear, hope that makes it clear ?
  16. I would like to see a 12 something with the NOS
  17. I think he only sells them with a 6 speed manual conversion kit now
  18. £580 for a single is real cheap, I could not get near that and I am 35 with 9 years NCB Hope you get it sorted anyway
  19. Good grief you seem to get enough problems for us all ! , hope this one gets sorted quickly
  20. Cheers, I will give the first one a call
  21. I will measure it up later between the mounting points if that helps, I am going up to TF and the rolling road tomorrow at 4.30 for a mapping session if you want me to leave it there ??
  22. Give Albert at Knightracer a call and he will be able to help you with all the details I am sure, I have had a bumper sprayed by them and was a great job, they have done some fantastic work e.g JamieP's and Gaz6148's sons car
  23. They quoted me £128 for several scratches and marks on my car last year, you are not far away from a pro paint shop re spray at £1100, not sure that would cover a total re spray though
