  1. Off to ASDA tonight, oh bugger might as well go the whole hog and get some pork scratchings !
  2. Far less chemical flavour enhancers are being used, the western palette had to adjust to this, this also includes less salt, all these things give greater 'flavour', remember the crisps with the blue salt bag with a days worth of salt intake inside, i do and crisps tasted great back then
  3. Give them a local meeting point that has cctv and plenty of people around, take a friend if they want to meet you there, otherwise steer well clear IMO
  4. Looking good, seen those bottles somewhere before
  5. Good stuff, thats lightend my mood
  6. Ok I am getting fed up of this now ! Michel, you state clearly that you restrict the boost that your cars are mapped to, in My case i asked Dan to give me a 'safe map' this was agreed at 1.2 bar with or without NOS and 1.5 bar without, I was not present like yourself at the session, Dan clearly states in his post the car failed at 1.75bar, how is that a 'safe map' I dont know thats why I asked the forum I did not loose a tyre here or break a spark plug, I lost the whole bloody engine including a just rebuild head. I wanted some answers and was told this stuff just happens sometimes, I dont feel that is a good enough answer, if it let go at 1.5 bar fine thats my problem but it did not, it let go at .25 bar above what I asked for, and was told that mapping above is normal to get a consistent map, well I would have expected any mapper to warn me of that before hand because MANY people in the know have told me 1.75bar on a standard engine is asking for trouble Ok rant over
  7. Here Here I did not ever want to see anyone banned. Any member who has a great deal of knowledge in any system is valuable, any member who has knowledge in a system I own is even more so ! I would have very much liked to have seen an open discussion on the reasons for the failure of my engine, I would have very much wanted to see opinions on what went wrong from BOTH sides, as this did not happen it became very one sided and is the reason I have stayed out of the threads for the most part, only providing FACTS and pictures to what had happened to the best of my knowledge, if the failure was just one of those things then I accept that, thats the risk we all take for pushing the cars to the higher limit, if there was something that could have avoided what happened I would also liked to have found out.I never intended to do my mods on a low budget and was not looking for cheap options, I wanted and have always gone with the best advice at the time hence to move to AEM etc I have never suggested AEM was to blame for the failure but would have liked AEM to have been more directly involved in the forum that lets fact it spends a lot of money with them and has many cars using their product IMO I have a new engine now and the car will be back on the road by the middle of August all being well and I can put this saga behind me as more lessons learnt, so lets get some late summer meets organized and allow me to show it off a little before the winter comes
  8. I would be up for this, might make up for missing the summer meets
  9. I have 19's and the ride is harsh, the handling is compromised and all for the looks!, the 19's Vortex is a nice wheel, Chumpalot has them fitted and they look great and do clear UK brakes so I guess the 20's would clear UK's also, Wheelmania shows the 20's on a car in the ad but this is a photoshop, also I think that 20's make for a great show car look but I doubt you could see the car as a great daily driver, some poeple on here will shoot 19's down as a poor wheel size for the Supra, 20's is just asking for it
  10. I had this, it was the speed converter, when replaced all was fine
  11. I saw some great tents at Decathlon sports store in Lakeside, fold up into a rucksack and yet sleep up to 4, all for less than £50, all I need now is a Supra !
  12. You should get a good J Spec TT Auto, or a very nice NA manual
  13. I am sure they are around at auction for example but you get what you pay for IMO ?
  14. Cheers The car was dry when the clingfilm went on, its only for 3 weeks and has to be better than the bird droppings, rain showers and then sunshine, it also puts the chavs off as they would have to unwrap it before they could break in !
  15. Well after the rain delay yesterday managed to give the Supra a quick wash and then went to work with the cling film and as predicted created quite a scene with the neigbours, all wondering if the engine failure had pushed me over the edge This should keep the bird muck and sunlight off for a few weeks before it goes off to have the new engine put in
  16. Hi, It is with regret that Japanese Performance night held on 1st Tuesday of each month has been cancelled. Due to the anti social behaviour of some individuals Ace Cafe London have been left with no other option than to remove this meet from their monthly calendar. It is in your best interest not to attend the Cafe on Tuesday 7th August. Any cars already booked into the car park will now be withdrawn. 17. If that was the message you recieved on my car direct from Dan then that is UNTRUE, the car was mapped to 1.35 bar by him a week earlier when we had an issue with a boost leak, I drove the car home and did not drive it again until the mapping session the following week upon which I have a fuel leak on the way, Turbofit corrected the fuel leak (split hose) and the car was taken to Dan for mapping the very next day, AT NO TIME was the NOS ever used by me as it had NEVER been mapped in for use, Dan ran NOS for the first time during the mapping session, why has he told you different ?
  18. I would !!, never going to own a real one thats for sure !
  19. Was this the car at Topgear show at the NEC last year?? if so it was a great looking car from a distance but when up close you see the wheel spacers and lots of big spaces where you would expect covers or equipment, not to mention the engine note, I came back from Solihull yesterday down the M1 and saw several Ferraris coming out of the F1 and the noise when on WOT has to be one of the greatest sounds on earth !
  20. I always use the work ' borrowed ' when I take something from work
  21. I just borrowed a really big roll of cling film so I will give that a go then put the cover over that
  22. Oh bugger I wish I had known about this stuff before I took the head off to check the pistons, couple of glugs and I would have been away
  23. I have had such a bad experience with the cover I brought a couple of weeks ago, I wrapped the car up and with the windy days we have had I noticed the cover was creating swirls on the paint , perhaps the cover is just not the right quality
