  1. Just below half and from what I am told and the defi water temp gauge in my car the Toyota temp gauge is very 'lazy', the defi picks up every temp change moving all the time from 85-100c the only time I ever saw the Toyota gauge move is when the thermostat failed and the alarm had gone off on the defi way before the Toyota gauge decided to move north, maybe even save the engine
  2. On a more serious note I dont think you should see your turbo 'glow' at all really, I have watched my car on the dyno many times and you do see the manifold get very hot (yellow) but that is heat wrapped, the turbo blanket will protect the silicon pipes and bonnet from heat exposure however, it fits over the exhaust side of the turbo
  3. CW posted this the other day, not sure if a blanket would have helped much
  4. I wonder how well it will hold up with the heat of the engine bay?, looks like a couple of bubbles in the finish or is it just my imagination ?
  5. Will have to be A pillar I think The defi link is moving to the arm rest also (oh and mines a six speed now) That DVD head unit is coming out this week also and will be up for sale
  6. Defi and AEM for me, I have a digital NOS and Aquamist Gauge to go in this week somewhere ! http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/9/25816310985.jpg
  7. I have the new Aquamist HFS-5 going in http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/aquamist-hfs5-water-injection-system-p-3120.html
  8. I had the HKS type R and was going to replace with the same (I had some broken fins and a slight boost leak in the old one) until I saw the price , I went for a 4 row in the end and it helped achieve a few extra bhp on the dyno, still if I had the cash the HKS type R would have been my first choice
  9. Maybe it is worth seriously considering a small single now as the car needs new turbos and you seem to want to have a good power level on tap from what I remember of the original thread?
  10. Waste of money IMO Just drive off boost for the last part of your journey, or let it run for a minute or so before you turn off
  11. A meal at Simpsons (Bhams best restaurant) followed by drinks at gas street basin of Broad St
  12. I have the AEM controlling the NOS does your ECU have this option maybe?
  13. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=90697 my work is done Please avoid take it from me

  15. Well the car goes in to Phoenix on Wednesday and I thought it a good time to start a picture thread of the rebuild of the car, as most of you know my engine let go on a RR mapping session some months ago and I have been collecting parts and saving hard to get the car back on the road asap, the wait to get into Phoenix has helped with the collation of parts I am having the following fitted and will get Mark to take pictures of each stage of the works Dudes engine which has a fully built head with crower springs, titanium retainers, HKS 272 cams Brand new Toyota bottom end Brian Crower H Beam rods ARP Rod bolts ARP Head studs ARP head bolts HKS fuel rail with HKS 800cc injectors and resistor pack Braided fuel lines HKS cam belt HKS sliding cam pulley's Aquamist water injection boot install with stainless meth tank Battery relocation to the boot in stainless battery box Polished (by Colsoop) intake, throttle body, manifold, header tank and cam covers Digital NOS pressure gauge and Aquamist gauge HID Knight Racer kit AEM digital dash readout I am sure there will be more to follow but will await inspection first Here is a link to the last time it was running 580 BHP at 1.5 bar http://media.putfile.com/T04R-Dyno-Run This is the engine before and has it is now I will post with a health check report on Wednesday
  16. Quick question, on average how often do Supras go wrong? Tough question to answer really but they are very strong cars. As with all things though they can and do go wrong from time to time, If you are finding it hard to get the cash together to buy the car dont be surprised if it feels expensive to run and look after, and looking after it with regular services etc is very important to avoid larger expense later, hope you enjoy it mate and welcome
  17. For just this reason I got myself a cleaner, and its not as expensive as you may thing, I pay £22.50 a week for 3 hours and it stops the girlfriend moaning and allows me to have the weekend nag free ( well on cleaning anyway )
  18. I am amazed these have not sold yet for this price ! Tempted to make an offer just to have a spare set of the same wheels, if I remember rightly they are around £800 each new without tyres
  19. Will if not she looks as plastic as the carbon kit

Here here its taken months of dedicated abuse to achieve my look
  21. http://www.habitek.co.uk/catalog/item699.htm I brought this TV for my bathroom but in the end got it tiled and did not bother, it is a small 5"waterproof TV with a remote speaker for the ceiling or wall, it has an AC adapter, remote control and is brand new, would work in a small room or even a toilet if you really cant be away from the TV for too long Looking for £100 for px with cash for a set of Black OEM side skirts and spats (well worth a try !)
  22. I had the T04Z and 2.7 stroker in my R32 great combo, gave me 735 BHP at the fly, would still have it if it had been in an R34, the only other Jap car I would swop the Supra for right now
