Looks nice and would make a good first Supra, what about MOT and TAX ?? I think the engine idle problem may be putting some people off? when was the last service?? any history Sorry so many questions but I may be interested in getting an NA as a run around for the winter if the price is right ?

I would think you would want to get this set up correctly though as it may effect the geo of the car etc

I brought these wheels some months ago to used while my Blitz were being cleaned, they are in the way now, they are in good condition and have excellent rubber on the back tyres and worn rubber on the fronts, I can bring to Jap Show if needed, they clear UK brakes and I have 2 5mm spacers if required Pic on Steve boy's car of actual wheels

That would give you a bit of a shock at the traffic lights , not many on here that can beat that time thats for sure !

Save your money IMO I dont see the point of a turbo timer at all, just drive off boost for the last part of your journey then allow to tick over for 30 sec to a min and then swich off, having a turbo timer run for 3 mins without you in the car is crazy and I think illegal

I did mine, stripped it first with Nitromorse then sanded slightly, primer, paint the laquer, not a bad job in the end, key is take your time and allow to fully dry before adding next coat

The car is strapped down as you describe with this mapper and most of the spring travel is removed by strapping very firmly, I always wondered if this added to the stresses on the car?? I know the rear tyres were toast after 2 days of mapping adding to the expense you should factor in with this mapping method

I would buy a ready built and fully working one myself with a good strong reputation and plenty of history of the build and who did it, a members car will tick a lot of these boxes and I would use the advice of some on here if I was to buy again It would be more expensive to build a good well set up single from a stock TT

You will need to change the diff to get the best out of the 6 speed but an Auto diff will work, JamieP used to use Auto diffs in between destroying 6 speed ones if i remember rightly?

I was never keen on VS kit but Jonty's car looked fantastic last time I saw it IMO

I owned a single T78 auto a few years back and then moved to Skylines for a while, when I came back to Supras I went Auto again and it is one of the best, BUT because of the power i was running I had a conversion to six speed and since the six speed conversion i would never go back, the only frustration is that I think it should have been a 5 speed box from the start and fashion dictated a 6 speed which creates too many changes for the single set up, waits to get shot down !!

My brother in law has been staying with us this weekend and always likes a blast in the Supra when he visits (about twice a year), well the car is still off the road so we got a chatting about what is going to be fixed etc, he is a petrol head but has allowed himself to loose the fast cars for a family car some time ago, we are both well into our 30's with kids! I happened to mention I was going to Santa Pod next weekend and asked if he would like to come, we both go cap in hand to the boss (his wife and my sister of course) and she had a moment of weakness as we both gave it the puppy dog eyes and got full approval, so if you see a 6 foot plus Jamacian guy drooling over your car with the excitment of a 6 year old that will be him, when I asked my daughter if she wanted to come along too she just said 'nope thanks' !
