  1. A few years ago while at the petrol station I opened the door of my car without checking the mirror (stupid I know) and hit a 1988 Ford Fiesta on the wing while it was coming past, I had owned my Porsche 911 about 3 days and paid a fortune in insurance (more than I could really afford, some things dont change!), in a panic I offered to pay for the damage and gave my number, now I thought the car would be worth about £200 but she came back with a £500 repair, and she knew I would pay to protect my NCB, its a sad world we live in and I paid, what made it worse is I saw her a few months later in the same car with the same damage
  2. yes Paul Whiffin @ £150 +VAT, did I miss something
  3. Shame his wheels dont come out the the edge of the kit though, glad you have made up your mind though
  4. Paul Whiffin does these, he is a trader at the bottom of the page http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=21 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=121568
  5. What does it matter what other people say ??, I like the TS one it goes better with the aggresive bumper you have but thats only my opinion and YOU should do what YOU feel is right and judging on how long your car has been off the road I would have thought getting it up and running would have been the priority ?
  6. Welcome mate, quite an ambition and good luck with it Mine should be back on the road just as you get yours
  7. I remember a few guys visiting at TF telling me there was a display of my anti-lag by him which lasted for ages, was news to me until a few weeks later, Sh*t said I was not going to read this anymore
  8. He did a great job of selling AEM thats for sure, at the time I brought mine everyone was singing its praises and going down this route Must stop reading this thread now as my blood pressure has only just returned to normal from the ' mapping ' session in July
  9. When braking the fluid in the res will move and this if not on max level will cause the sensor to think the level is low
  10. The brake fluid res is very sensitive to not being full to the max level, top it up and see if this sorts the problem out
  11. Its like the executioner asking if he chopped your head off to your satisfaction
  12. That is correct He also sent me a text message on Saturday asking me to rate his performance from 1-10 on tuning my cars, you can imagine my responce, strange question to ask a customer who's engine expired during 'mapping'
  13. That photo does not look like a second hand plastic lens light to me, it looks brand new and judging by the box it is sat on it may well be a picture of the new lights he is about to fit to replace the old, I would want to see the exact pair of lights for sale, call me suspicious if you like but ebay always makes me nervous and once delivered from Sweden you will be stuck with them if they are no good unless you fancy paying big postage bills You can buy brand new lights from Steve Manley on here for about £250 BTW
  14. Just looking at it from my office window in Canary Wharf, looks like a very very large fire that came from knowhere, seems to be getting smaller at the moment thank goodness but the shadow over East London is huge
  15. Do you have fuel coming through, could be a fuel pump issue ?
  16. The red button turns the fanny magnet on and off try the search button as I mentioned before
  17. Welcome and congrats Take some time to enjoy the car and get some knowledge from reading the many threads on here about modding, there are hundreds and the search button is your friend, look up BPU that is always a good start if its a TT, if its NA then you have a more difficult job getting BHP gains
  18. If it all looks straight when I go to see it I will be getting it back to full working order but keeping it Stock thats for sure, one single turbo is enough, this will be the daily driver
  19. I am going to pick this up on the 1st Dec when he gets his new car delivered, all being well with the car when I arrive I will own another Supra, just need to get my story straight for her in doors now, as the reason it was just too cheap not to buy may not do just before xmas
  20. I have not driven a Celica but I would have thought you would not feel a great deal of difference compared to an NA Supra, but it is a much nicer place to be
  21. In 15 years time they might have invented a 500 BHP electric car though and your old gas guzzler will look like a dinosaur
  22. My thoughts are quite simple on the whole BPU to single subject, I would take your car to BPU with a reputable company and see how much fun that is, it is without doubt the best of both worlds in terms of power and reliability, anything after that is not only very expensive (ECU's, Fueling, Brakes, Clutch etc) but also places stress on the car and therefore more potential unreliability, thats my very basic thoughts anyway
  23. Not a problem, there is a ground level open car park at the Brewery, I have parked there many times
  24. Not sure it works for every 'classic' http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/276692.htm I remember my Dad having one of these and in this colour
