  1. happy xmas and new year?? how long is the exhaust refit going to take
  2. Is a large FMIC needed on the stock twin set up though, I dont think so, sending very large volumes of air to the stock system is a waste is it not ?? a good quality SMIC would work just as well ?
  3. Am I right in saying though that there must come a point in the whole BPU +..++....+++ saga where you are spending money and the stock turbos are just not able to deliver anymore power?? also is there a point where BPU +++etc on an old set of TT's could be the death of them, this may be worth mentioning to the Noobies joining??
  4. If you feel you are going to want big single power soon after buying I would get a car that has been built by a respected tuner instead of getting one built, it will save a lot of time and money, also unless you have an uprated box forget auto with a single turbo ( i have destroyed one box before going 6 speed)
  5. You could keep adding to the spec with Performance upgrades hence the ++, for example a boost controller, uprated clutch, uprated fueling, piggyback ECU etc
  6. The turbo acts as a silencer if I remember rightly, its as simple as that
  7. 40 mins and he is not back yet, must be an NA
  8. I 'think' one of the mechanics used to work with Minardi, he is a real nice guy actually and did most of my R32 build, suprised he is not living in the Bahamas now
  9. Dont put anymore work Marks way at Phoenix he will never get my build done
  10. £500 a day......... sounds about right for TDI , sure they will do a great job though, bet you are looking forward to getting it on the road, especially as you are feeling so well of late :d;)
  11. You will have to take them to your new garage and keep them entertained to give the missus a break
  12. The box , she was not a happy bunny at all The best of it was she was upset later that she had not eaten all the tic tacs and she did not get them back !!
  13. It does not get any better as they get a bit older either, my seven year old got her finger stuck in a tic tac box on sunday, sounds an easy fix but it became swollen and had to be cut off, kids !
  14. Yes I have used them a few times, I just thought the new mag was soo much better and contained far more products, they do give 10% off to us as well
  15. I received the new Demon Tweaks mail order mag in the post yesterday and what a fantastic catalogue it is way superior to the last edition, it has a huge selection of parts with some very interesting upgrade stuff for the Supra including Cosworth bits, ARP, HKS etc, also some real interesting seats, I could feel my credit card calling me Well at least I can point at stuff for xmas presents
  16. Yep, cost has to be a factor as I said I was going to stop this modding lark two years ago As I am not looking to run a gazillion HP I think the Eagles are the best compromise
  17. Just ordered Eagle rods with Mark along with ARP bolts all round , he is going to see what price he can get them for
  18. I have looked at the price of the JUN and Cosworth rods and they are by far the most expensive, are they really that much better than Eagle or are you paying for the name ? Mark has given me the option of course and as usual this created more debate, I think the most I can hope for power wise is 650BHP at the fly (maybe a bit more with the NOS on occasion) so do I need the JUN/Cosworth, if the answer is 'yes if you want the best' then I will move to the Wanted section
  19. Yes Mark mentioned your car as an example of a car that was running high power on Eagles with no problems, what else did you have put in the bottom end?
  20. I have just taken delivery of a brand new Toyota bottom end, I was going to put uprated rods and bolts in, Mark at Phoenix uses Eagle most of the time but he has heard that Pauter are very good and also at a good price from US right now, what are your thoughts ??
  21. It is the door stop looking things that wear and need changing, there are 2 lower and 2 upper, its the lower that had failed on mine, Mr T was not smart in the screw locations and also the fact they seemed to also be glued in place, Like i said before it was a bugger to get them out, and be very careful not to round the screw heads, I did
  22. I ran AEM with the auto box with no problems ?, it was the power that destroyed the box in the end
  23. I had tail gate rubbers that were worn that caused a rattle, this looked an easy fix but was a nightmare to get the old ones off The tools in the boot also made an annoying rattle, as did the spare wheel when the nut became loose that holds it down The Issota steering wheel boss rubs as well and creaks from time to time, apart from that not too bad as build quality goes, the list would have been very much longer if I had listed my R32 GTR
