  1. Just over 3K Graham, insurance is silly cheap as well
  2. Just purchased this, I am taking some time off from working so needed a new toy as the TVR is away for the winter now, its a V8 Landrover 90 with some trick off road bits, I have never been any good at going fast so I thought I would go dirty instead [GRIN][/GRIN]
  3. Mark at Phoenix had a conversation with me some years ago about how I should approach my build, He suggested you should firstly avoid opening the engine at all if all is well with a leakdown test and replace just the oil pump and water pump and service, however my engine had failed so the next best thing would be a new block from Toyota and then stock pistons with uprated rods as these are a known weak point, finally ARP bolts and new gaskets, no need for uprated bearings or pistons (my goal was around 600BHP) It was once built an engine Mark was willing to guarantee to a modest power level
  4. You are getting ahead of me with the modding already, mines not ready for 10 more days
  5. Lakeside banger racing is on every Sunday from 2pm at Essex Raceway, its a fantastic fun 3 hours, huge car park and a bar/restaurant as well, might be worth looking at the Sunday instead? http://www.arena-essex-raceway.co.uk/fixtures.aspx?Date_of_meeting=05-04-2015
  6. Can you make them fit with a roll Ibrar ( I will buy tyres from you)
  7. Yes I agree, I think it will be very close to the edge of the arch, I want the "US" look for the car and it has to therefore have an aggressive rear offset, I will ask Speedwell to supply and fit the tyres
  8. I have received a full quote for the WED SA 10R wheels from the US, I have decided to take their "aggressive" stance on offset and have been advised a rear arch roll will be required, the car is 100% stock at the moment so does the fitment below look OK with an arch roll MKIV Supra ** rear will need to be rolled** 2 SA10R18955114338 Weds Zebra Black SA-10R Wheel 18x9.5 5x114.3 +38mm 2 SA10R1810551143... 10. The have a very helpful on line chat support thing on their website, they are getting me a price for a set of Black Chrome 18" SA 10's delivered to the UK
  11. WED SA R10 are around $500 per wheel direct from US, is their a UK supplier of WED wheels ?
  12. I brought mine of Gamer, they were close to mint, I think I paid £1500 with tyres
  13. Black chrome for me only so not for me thanks, had them on one of my Supras before and I loved the look
  14. Thanks Nic, they are very nice and very similar, any idea on price to the UK ?
  15. No idea, but I have not seen them before, they are a bit fugly though
  16. 10 or 11, will have to re count Looking for wheels in the coming weeks, would like a set of WED SA70's but they are rare now
  17. No just this one for now, new wheels, seats and the BPU and that's it
  18. tiptronic this time, my wife has only got an Auto license and we are going to share this one
  19. The new car has arrived at JM Imports, just waiting for paperwork and BPU mods and will be ready to pick up
  20. Looks ok as a one off to me, given the reason for use, why on earth would you use an NA as a base for such an expensive conversion though
  21. Why go to all the trouble of going single etc if you want a stock car for the future, will you every really change it all back ? Perhaps what you need is a single turbo for now and a project Uk Spec to keep as a fully restored original spec car
